Also everything is a negotiation. as an aside, I loathe the Toyota Center lease and the way it bends over for the Rockets owner on other arenas being built anywhere else in the county Les, and now Tilman, single handedly get to decide if houston gets an NHL team even as the NHL deems it a target. That’s what this is about. There will be a fee to purchase an expansion team. That’s what the negotiation is over. NHL has to vote to expand first. General belief is that will happen soon.
Bettman kinda danced around the expansion topic on the pre game show today but down the lime he said 34 or 36 teams is a possibility. I wonder if cutting the pre season down and going to 84 regular season games was done to help with scheduling if they expand.
