Just going to note that Space X receives a lot of money from government contract and works jointly with NASA to develop its technology.

....as for rocket man, his TSLA stock has made me no $$ this year, might be time to dump it and look for other opportunities....

Space X and other space startups wouldn't be viable without NASA and DOD money.

It's not either/or. It never was.

A clearer distinction would be these startups and Andruil going against defense/aerospace giants like Boeing and Lockheed who got fat off of contracts that didn't incentivize innovation or efficiency.

 

There might be people related to NASA in the space industry in Florida that you could ask about that. Space X doesn't get off the ground without NASA and the DoD. Also other contractors that worked with NASA as well.

 

This is a Houston based BBS for a team called the Rockets. I’m sure there are a lot of people who have ties to NASA and the aerospace industry who can tell you how it was a collective effort to get a man in the moon.

I suspect if Werner Von Braun was alive he would say the same thing.

Uhhh of course it doesn't get off the ground. You can't even fly a hobby drone without FAA approval now. Do you really think NASA and the DoD are going to let some clown living in their parents basement send vehicles into orbit?
Further, most of these administrations are very pro SpaceX. It's this stupid **** Biden/Harris administration getting in the way of progress as best as they can. Modern Democrats have become the party of regression.
