Goff is just a guy too… till he’s not. getting consistent QB play and winning games/making the playoffs (which is what the Bucs have done)… even if it’s not at super-duper star level… has value. I’d say Baker is in the Matt Schaub category. Wont win games by himself… but get a good team surrounding him and he’s going to be productive enough to make and win playoff games.
Ya i'm not a fan of Goff at all. I think the issue is that qb's basically all get paid the same, the 2nd best qb and the 11th best qb basically make the same yet the gap between them is massive. Detroit is in a cool situation where they hit home runs on a bunch of draft picks so they can dump 50 mil a year into a so so qb. Philly was like that also, but as soon as the roster around him dropped from incredible to just good, hurts fell apart.
Jones is many things, but the man is loyal to a fault to his star players and coaches, McCarthy should have been out following the collapse against Green Bay.

Usually there’s a morale bump resulting in a win after a mid season coaching change. Not so for the Jets. Expect a massive meltdown by the time we play them on Halloween night.
