Major said: ↑ At some point, you'll have to accept that no one supports your candidate. Major, you used to pride yourself on being so careful with small, albeit often times meaningless distinctions. What has happened? Let me help you. Millions of people have voted for Sanders, but it looks like more will probably end up voting for Joe Biden. Tens of millions of voters are not no one.
To clarify, the context of that was within the pool of candidates in the race and Warren's endorsement. Of all the 20ish other candidates running, even the ones in Sanders' lane (Yang, Warren) weren't willing to endorse him. But to be fair, I was wrong even there - Marianne Williamson did endorse him. But yes, tens of millions of voters certainly do support him.
I missed this. I was very worried about AOC having a future, but she gets it. I hope others heed her words.
AN ELIZABETH WARREN ENDORSEMENT OF BERNIE SANDERS NO LONGER MATTERS, POLL SHOWS https://www.newsweek.com/elizabeth-...-sanders-no-longer-matters-poll-shows-1491748
Of course not.. It doesn't matter for Biden either. Most Sanders supporters now hate her and it will be inconsequential to Biden if he leads the Dem ticket if Elizabeth repeats her 2016 " Profile in Courage " moment by endorsing the first candidate to pass the approximate 1990 delegate threshold.
I'm not a Warren fan but the treatment of her by Sanders supporters is another example of the problem of Sanders's Movement. Warren doesn't immediately support Sanders so Sanders supporters start attacking her, calling her a "traitor" and etc... It should be no surprise then that she demurs on supporting Sanders.
Bernie or Bust mobs are the dingleberries of the Democratic Party. Promoting all these purity tests that they don't really gaf unless it makes their guy look better doesn't help bridge the gap during general elections https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/mar/13/bernie-sanders-fans-joe-biden-democratic-candidate
Happy Indigenous People's Day! Reminds me I went to the genealogy library the Mormons have in SLC and saw one of their experts to help me with my family tree. I have a person on there that I strongly suspect is Sioux, which would make my wife maybe 1/32nd or 1/64th Sioux. But a DNA test found no Native American markers. I related this to the genealogist and she just rolled her eyes at the DNA testing. She said they do a very poor job of finding Native American markers and I should ignore that and work the documents instead. That reminded me of Warren and her little scandal. I've not yet succeeded on the documents. I found a tribe that seems like a likely target, but they can't offer me any help.
There are different kinds of genealogists. Some of them are basically palm readers and are very good at digging up records that will fit what you're hoping to find. Others understand the tech of genetic testing. Then there are all points in between. I'm just saying, depending on your vetting and trust for this one genealogist, she may have rolled her eyes because she doesn't understand DNA testing or the state of it. That said: my family was really confident of Cherokee blood that 23 and me did not find. I took the genetics at their word.
As I said, I'm doing my family tree. Trying to identify our ancestors. Her rationale was that the dataset for native American markers was poor. Not enough native Americans have participated, and the ones that have are already mixed with other races in recent generations. It also occurs to me that the Mormon church might have an ideological prejudice against DNA testing. So who knows.
Sen. Warren harps on Hegseth’s Christian tattoo, worries he may be insider threat as she rails against his anti-woke push https://nypost.com/2025/01/07/us-news/sen-warren-rips-hegseths-christian-tattoo-anti-woke-push/
I don't like Warren. I think she's completely fake and wish she'd go away. I took the thread the same way. I thought she passed away and definitely didn't want that to happen
I don't like any of them.. Red, Blue, etc.... They're all fake and could careless about any of us.... T_Man
