Postgame he wasn’t technically ruled out for the season (Campbell: “He’ll be down for a little while”) but I think he’s done for the season.
If I’m Detroit I make a call to the Browns to see if Myles Garret is available. Idk what the cap situations and contract would involve but a first rounder, maybe even two would be worth it.
Detroit is good, but not as good as this Dallas team made them look. Five turnovers and a defense that gave up. Good times.
Agreed, the Lions are for real but dam the cowpokes laid down for them. Mccarthy is a dead man walking, will J Jones put his ego aside and call Bill Belichick, I highly doubt it but we shall see
If J Jones calls Belichik, J Jones will find a reason to make it his idea and have his ego massaged because of it. My problem with J Jones goes back to his handling of Landry. So it's not likely to ever go away.
At this point, is there any question that this is the worst transaction (taking the extension into consideration) in the history of sports? DeShaun Watson is historically bad. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...shaun-watson-poor-qb-play-contract-future-cut
It's right up there with the Herschel Walker trade as far as lopsided, but far more financially disastrous. And Walker was at least, as far as I remember, a decent human being and a good player for many years beyond the trade. Watson's creepo behavior is literally the best thing that ever happened to the Texans org.
Stuff like drafting bagley over luka is a million times worse but ya it's hilariously bad. Stuff like trading dirk for robert traylor, etc. are also infinitively worse.
Another overlooked part that can now be questioned as well: They paid Baker Mayfield $10.5 million to leave... and now he's literally an MVP candidate.
Well there’s already talk about the Lions going after a DE to replace Aiden H. Except instead of Myles Garret it’s Max Crosby. Crosby is from Michigan and fits that Dan Campbell/Lions ethos. Like Garret and the Browns, the Raiders are going nowhere and might be looking for draft capital to get a QB in the 2025 draft.
This could be a great move for the Raiders because next year's draft is supposed to be loaded for bear in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
People need to calm down on these mediocre qb's having hot streaks. You're going nowhere with Baker, all you're doing is winning some games to prevent yourself from getting a high pick, while having 0 shot to compete.
Oh absolutely, their decision was awful. Baker is still just a guy though, nowhere near sniffing an mvp or being a high end starter or anything.
