Great game. Ewers looked so rusty to start the game, but I think he'll get back to where he needs to be. I loved the lucky break with the end zone fumble touchdown but especially loved the utter domination of OU. I said it when the SEC move was announced and I still believe that the conference change isn't going to go well for Oklahoma. They wer a big dog in the Big 12 who could pluck talent out of DFW and ride an automatic bid to the CFP/BCS. That's gone now. They represent a state nobody outside of north Texas wants to play in and they're competing against schools like Alabama, LSU and Georgia who dominate the south. Money aside, they'll regret moving to the SEC. I wish I could be in Austin next weekend for the game day atmosphere against Georgia. It's going to be amazing.
He was pretty good at Oklahoma. I honestly don't think the national championship team with all their stars played this well as a group. Maybe it's because we don't have to play a bunch of big 12 offenses. They will be tested by Georgia next week.
I don't know about "wreck" but we're favored for a reason. Big test for the D...this is by far the best offense they've faced. Hope Ewers shook all the rust off last week. Hope Bond is healthy.
I can't imagine how much of a zoo Austin is today...what genius muppet scheduled an F1 race for the same day as a massive UT home game?
F1 already has 2025 scheduled. If they did the same for 2024 and scheduled the 2024 race at least a year ahead, then maybe it was somebody on the football side that was the Muppet. F1 Experiences Thu 16 Oct - Sun 19 Oct, 2025 | Austin, Texas FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2025
I have an easy fix to that...**** the car races, let 'em go drive around Hutto. Gotta keep your priorities straight.
Yes, but is UT able to commit to having a Home Game on roughly the same weekend in October going forward? Then maybe F1 could adjust and race the weekend before or the weekend after. I don't know which government entities are involved in discussions about scheduling with the F1 people. I have no idea if UT has any representatives at the discussions. I am not sure, but maybe the F1 stuff used to be in mid November and it was moved to October because mid November weather can be Hit and Miss for Central Texas.
