My lower back would scream if I couldn't sit down during the entirety of a shift or break time. Geez.
I don't care if he sees my bare arse and ding dong, I'm still getting me into a clean toilet with no piss and doodoo anywhere to be seen.
I didn't realize Buccee's expanded outside of Texas. I'm in South Carolina traveling passing their billboards. Wiki says they started expanding outside of Texas in 2018
I went to one on the way to Orange Beach in AL a few years ago. Took nearly an hour to get in and out of the f***ing parking lot. I honestly do not stop at one unless I absolutely have to.
I could see Buccees being the next big American pop-culture company export to hip first world countries like Japan.
The biggest one used to be in Tennessee until recently. Guinness has the new one in Luling as the world's largest convenient store. I recently went to one in the Houston area that must be the world's smallest one - so disappointing.
I always stop at the one in Madisonville and sometimes the one in Ennis. During Spring Break or the summer or some Fridays during lunch, it's absolute chaos, and I regret it every time. You know it's nuts when the line for the bathroom has over 50-75 people in it.
I stopped in one cause i hate to take a dump. There was a line- 50 deep- for the womens restroom. I walk by and a really cute girl caught my eye and she was at about the soda machine portion of the queue , but doodie called and I went straight to the stall. I was in there a good 10 minutes, wash my hands and get ready to leave. I notice the same cute girl still standing in the same damn place waiting to use the restroom. It just blew my mind, these broads didnt need to use the bathroom, they just wanted to wait in line so they could take selfies in there or something. Theres no damn way Id wait in a 50 person line to use the damn restroom if I really had to go.
I drive to the DFW area once per month and own an EV. The Buc-ee's at Madisonville and Ennis are my primary stops because of the superchargers and restrooms. They aren't always crowded; it just depends. On the way back today, the Ennis store was great and while Madisonville was a complete joke of a madhouse. Most of the time they are fine. I think I've finally found my "go to" Buc-ee's sandwich: The chicken burrito. Had one with a Diet Dr Pepper and it was amazing!
We have about 120 acre property about 20 miles north of the Bucees in Madisonville, we go there frequently but there’s certain times we absolutely avoid. Mainly holiday times. I eat healthy for the most part but I can’t turn down beaver nuggets, peanut brittle, pecans and a chop beef sandwich
The first Buccee's I saw was in Seguin on way to San Antonio. I used to think that was the first. It was a madhouse then, 2003
Foreign tourists have actually heard about Buccees being a big thing in Texas so they go not knowing what it is. When they realize it's a gas station they ****ing laugh at our dystopia. Urban Japan might be different though. Completely different culture yet somewhat similar consumer capitalist dystopia. And they do appreciate a gas station.
Yeah. It really depends on the time of day and year. I drive up and down I45 and stop at those 2 Buc-ee's once a week or every other week. The absolute worst I think I've seen was the Madisonville location during Spring Break or the Summer. The place was insanity. I've never seen the Ennis one quite that bad. When I stop there in the mornings on the way to Houston, it's never bad because I usually get there around 11:30 or so, I think. It was busy whenever I stop on the way back to DFW, but, again, nothing like Madisonville. Madisonville on a weekday after lunch hours is ok (duh), but around lunchtime, it's always been busy for me. When it's really busy, navigating that parking lot is like driving in a circus act.
Down here in Brazoria County, there are a few tiny ones. Bucees started here and the original few are still open and are the size of a 7-11. The bigger ones have bathrooms bigger than the entire small stores.
