If after 50 years of comedy, you can't find anything funny ...that says more about you than SNL. lol

Steve Martin was never a cast member of SNL - he hosted the show many times but was never a cast member. Martin Short was a cast member, I think for just one season.

(if we're excluding Eddie Murphy... who isn't just big post SNL, he's just big period). At this point, Sandler probably has the most career earnings post SNL. Mike Myers would be up there too. They made higher grossing movies and in the case of Sandler, he's still making more of them (happy Gilmore 2??). Will Ferrel as well.

Like any sports teams, its going to have up/down years. There will still always be a cast member that finds some success post SNL, even in the lean years (even somebody obscure like Abby Elliot ends up getting Emmy noms and face recognition on the Bear).

Its a vehicle for superstardom for some... in others, helps carve out a decent career in entertainment. Some found success despite failing on SNL (Chris Rock, Tim Robinson).

Julia Louis Dreyfus, Robert Downey Jr

As far as skits go, any of Farley's iconic skits are way up there for me. Particularly the Chippendale's skit and any of the Matt Foley skits.

Farley in his prime had the ability to make you laugh so hard that you couldn't breathe, your eyes watered and your stomach hurt the next day. At least with me he did.

I've always liked his Bennett Brauer character just as much as Matt Foley, if not more.

I like this one. Relevant today.

Old people (and idiots) will see a reel on Facebook and think every player on their local 7th grade girls bball team is a MAN. They've never met a trans person in their lives and never will, but yeah, MAJOR PROBLEM. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuure.

They're coming over the border to buy all our houses! OKaaaayyyyyyy. Shut up

My favorites are most likely from the 90's-early 2000 cast.

But Dana Carvey does an amazing Joe Biden impersonation. He's so good at doing presidents.
