How does Woodward keeps on doing this? https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/08/us/politics/trump-putin-woodward-book.html Trump Secretly Stayed in Touch With Putin After Leaving Office, Book Says A new book by the journalist Bob Woodward also reports that Donald J. Trump, while still in office, secretly sent Vladimir Putin what were then rare Covid-19 tests for the Russian leader’s personal use. Oct. 8, 2024Updated 12:13 p.m. ET Former President Donald J. Trump has secretly spoken with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia as many as seven times since leaving office, even as he was pressuring Republicans to block military aid to Ukraine to fight Russian invaders, according to a new book by the journalist Bob Woodward. The book, titled “War” and scheduled to be published next week, describes a scene in early 2024 at Mar-a-Lago, Mr. Trump’s estate in Florida, when the former president ordered an aide out of his office so he could conduct a phone call with Mr. Putin. The unidentified aide said the two might have spoken a half-dozen other times since Mr. Trump left the White House. The book also reports that Mr. Trump, while still in office early during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, secretly sent Mr. Putin what were then rare Abbott Point of Care test machines for the Russian’s personal use. Mr. Putin, who has been described as particularly anxious about being infected at the time, urged Mr. Trump to not publicly reveal the gesture because it could damage the American president politically. “I don’t want you to tell anybody because people will get mad at you, not me,” Mr. Putin reportedly told him. ...
Wow. And how does Trump keep doing this, with Uncle Putie? Has to be some financial muck at the bottom of that nasty well.
Keeping those stolen U.S. national secrets and refusing to give them back while talking to Putin in secret...
Jesus Christ does Putin have Trump wrapped around his little finger. Whatever - there are bigger issues than this, but it is just another brick in the wall.
I truly think trump feels he and putin are kindred spirits, who in their right mind would even think that putin has ANY friends, he has transactional acquaintances...................the question is, what price did trump pay to get on that ride, he does the quid pro quo for anyone who has a buck so I wonder what trump has given or promised him........................in the bizzaro world of a president loving putin and kim jong and its a republican doing it................holy moly Reagan would slap the dog piss out of mr bone spurs
We know from the debate that Trump and Putie consider Victor Orban a yuge friend...a threesome of sorts.
Red Sparrow - AKA - Trump's Handler She makes sure Putin is always in the loop Putin gives her the orders and she relays them to Donald Rocket River
Trump is Putin's lackey. We've always known that - I mean, is this really a surprise? Will anyone care? Probably not. But they damn should.
@AroundTheWorld @Astrodome @Salvy @tallanvor @Scarface281 The people that worked for him and know him... really KNOW him. Mark Milley fears being court-martialed if Trump wins, Woodward book says | Donald Trump | Mark Milley, a retired US army general who was chair of the joint chiefs of staff under Donald Trump and Joe Biden, fears being recalled to uniform and court-martialed should Trump defeat Kamala Harris next month and return to power. “He is a walking, talking advertisement of what he’s going to try to do,” Milley recently “warned former colleagues”, the veteran Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward writes in an upcoming book. “He’s saying it and it’s not just him, it’s the people around him.” Trump’s wish to recall and court-martial retired senior officers who criticized him in print has been reported before, including by Mark Esper, Trump’s second secretary of defense. In Woodward’s telling, in a 2020 Oval Office meeting with Milley and Esper, Trump “yelled” and “shouted” about William McRaven, a former admiral who led the 2011 raid in Pakistan in which US special forces killed Osama bin Laden, and Stanley McChrystal, the retired special forces general whose men killed another al-Qaida leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, in Iraq in 2006. Milley was able to persuade Trump to back down, Woodward writes, but fears no such guardrails will be in place if Trump is re-elected. Woodward also describes Milley receiving “a non-stop barrage of death threats” since his retirement last year, and quotes the former general as telling him, of Trump: “No one has ever been as dangerous to this country.” Milley spoke to Woodward for his previous reporting. Woodward now reports the former general as saying: “He is the most dangerous person ever. I had suspicions when I talked to you about his mental decline and so forth, but now I realize he’s a total fascist. He is now the most dangerous person to this country. “A fascist to the core.”
Hopefully, it does. Cult leaders don’t care about their followers—especially an elitist billionaire who pretends to champion populism but consistently proves he's only interested in himself.
Unfortunately it probably doesn’t. Most people know how bad Trump is but here is with a good shot of being President again. At this point he probably could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose support.
I think he should actually do this. Whether he wins the next election or not, he will claim he did, and maybe through hijinks and violence, he can take control. Our resident tweet army will support him and find ways to justify it. Then we can have a national holiday on November 5 where he literally shoots some randomly selected liberal and/or immigrant or both on Fifth Avenue, at high noon, cheered loudly by his supporters, and we can do it every year. Hell, just make it Thanksgiving Day at the halftime of a football game. Conservative colleagues, would you not genuinely enjoy that? Be honest with yourselves.
