Quite frankly if you actually watched the games most of his inefficiency problems were due to second guessing and the very opposite of your analysis here. There is a reason why Jalen Green is a lot less efficient on spot ups instead of of step backs, off the dribble etc. When his confidence is high, his efficiency is higher. Call it selfish but Jalen Green is a rhythm player with the ball in his hands. His efficiency improves the more he is confident about his role on the team and having zero fear of missing a shot and worrying about efficiency numbers. You can call it a character flaw if you want. But he is objectively a worse player efficiency wise when his role is "reduced* as you desire. We saw on his worst months last season were in February and January where his pnr primary ball handler possessions were the lowest where he was constantly second guessing where he should be on the court and whether the shot he takes is a "good one" or not.
I guess nothing is Jalen's fault. LOL, you're so reactive and defensive justifying his flaws and failures it's a joke. If he's mentally tough, his confidence will nearly always be high. If he's smart, he'll change his shot selection based on how he's shooting. He's gotta dial down the long jumpers when they aren't falling. This is part of being a "rhythm player".
Why do people like you purposefully misinterpret these type of conversations? Is it purposefully? I literally said his mental confidence is a issue. He second guessed himself a lot on a lot of possessions that cascades into bricking or a turnover
confidence helps a lot. from 32.4 to 33.5 3FG% lol https://www.nba.com/stats/players/c...mID=1610612745&dir=D&sort=CATCH_SHOOT_FG3_PCT catch and shoot FG% 32.4 (7th out of 8 rockets players averaging 18 minutes a game) 3FG% 32.4 (7th out of 8 rockets players averaging 18 minutes a game) https://www.nba.com/stats/players/p...n&TeamID=1610612745&dir=D&sort=PULL_UP_FG_PCT pullups FG% 35.4 (6th out of 8 rockets players averaging 18 minutes a game) 3FG% 33.5 behind Dillon by 4% and FVV by 3%
Jeff Green trying to distract Landale at 0:09 is... frightening. It's even scarier if you look from Jeff to Tari to Jeff back to Tari at 0:17... Reed's walking around like he just wants to put up some shots.
So nice to see Adams being like a coach out there with VanVleet. Btw the hate for FVV needs to stop and I'm saying that because I know it's coming big time once he starts to have rough shooting nights and people ignore the assists and leadership in general. Also what a breath of fresh air to see an actual court with space on the side and get a sense of depth to these videos as I hated watching videos in that cheap **** they had before. Gave me freaking claustrophobia. For all the credit Leslie got and **** Tilman gets, I still stand firm on believing the latter has done more and put up more than Leslie ever did.
I went to the open practice today and was pretty disappointed with Reed's performance in the 3-point contest. To make things worse, they didn’t even scrimmage against each other again this year. Didn't even feel like a practice season this time around lol
Sad that two guys we drafted to because of their shooting (Jabari and Reed) lost in a shooting contest to a guy no one thought was a good shooter. (Cam)
