Just like Houston & Austin? There is a very serious homeless problem in SF & DC, but the cities have plenty worth visiting. NYC is a great city. Baltimore obviously has major gun violence problem, but I enjoyed my brief time there and want to go back. Detroit is definitely a struggling city and has been for a long time now.
Detroit has "secular issues"... i.e. death of the auto industry hub it used to be. They were mismanaged, but they were always going to have to deal with legacy debts against the flight of all the revenue and population.
I think a revamped system with more than One Commander in Chief and an Election with several big parties would be great.
Trump lied and stole money from the US government while he was in office. He is one big old conman who has conned millions of people it is staggering how gullible our country is.....so easy to con. DD
https://www.jec.senate.gov/public/i... every, have begun under Republican presidents. Washington, D.C.— In almost every measure of the economy, economic performance is stronger under Democrats than Republicans, according to a new report released by the Joint Economic Committee (JEC) Democrats. Of the 11 recessions in the modern era, 10 have begun under Republican presidents. YEP....Facts are just facts......so sorry GOP you have failed this country again and again, you do have good bullshit though for the ignorant to follow. DD
If they're hell holes why are they the most popular places to live and visit? Oh yeah that's right if it was a hell hole no one would be there. Stop using over dramatic words and use precise language. It has problems. But not enough to stop people from living there, so they cannot be considered "hell holes"
Let's refresh. Trump has told people to drink bleach to get rid of Covid. Trump has said immigrants are eating cats and dogs. Trump has said the Mexico will pay for the wall. Trump ...well you get the picture, he lies about everything and it doesn't seem to bother about 70m Americans - we just can't let that 70 drive the country over a cliff for the rest of us - that rely on facts and truth. DD
I do not consider these cities hell holes. I would think a city like Flint Michigan might be more of a hell hole than San Fran. At least you can drink the water in San Fran but people live there because that is where employment is. You can't work for let's say, Los Angelas Conty fire department if you live in Battle Creek, Michigan. You can't work as a vendor at NRG stadium if you live in Denton. Large cities initially became "large cities" because of geographical location. Ports, rail routes, and so on. It will be interesting to see if people start to leave the big cities now that remote working is an excepted norm. I watch house Hunters International with my wife. Seems like everyone on the show is a remote worker or military abroad. You have to take the good with the bad. You might have a Elijah's Restaurant in Woodville, TX. But you have a Vic and Anthony's in Houston. chicken Fried steak in Woodville Dry aged Wagyu in Houston There are always bad people out there doing bad things. But as I can tell you from many visits to my parents in the lovely town of Woodville. there is shady stuff going on EVERYWHERE. Sometimes there just isn't any media out there to report on it. Now the price of living in big cities is a whole different ball of wax. I know. I live in NY.
Yes people are beating the door down to visit (and live in) Oakland, Baltimore, St Louis, Detroit etc etc. Tourism is down in SF and NYC and people are leaving there in droves. Since '20 Fifty-four corporations have moved their Corporate Headquarters from SF and hundreds of businesses have shut down their operations there because it's a sh!thole. So if you want to think these cities are beautiful have at it.
yeah and those "republican rural towns" have been dead for decades. If you have any type of ambition, you leave Republican small towns lol. this is a proven thing. If you live in Houston, you live in a Democrat controlled city, like all cities are. You just randomly naming a bunch of cities, saying it's because of Democrats ignores that all cities are run by democrats, and not to mention the fact that the trend is that people leave republican ran areas to move to democratic ran areas. Look at the numbers.
