Whataburger - Jalapenos, Bacon and Cheese Wendy`s Double (although I don't like the change in pickles many years ago) Big Mac or QP W/Cheese In and Out..................the burger is pretty good but the fries suck ass and I gotta have fries with it I used to like the BK Whopper but something happened to that place and they just suck ass now, last one I had they put like a half gallon of sub-par mayo on it, and it made me sick, there original chicken was once good, but it sucks now.....TBH BK is straight trash now
They lost me a long time ago when they changed their fries. I really don't like their fries at all now.
I read about that, but many franchisees brought back the conveyer belt. How they store the cooked patties looks dirty af over time....
Yep, the one here is newish, and absolutely broils their burgers. When they've got it fired up you can see the smoke coming out of the roof and the intersection smells delicious. Too bad their food sucks. No sauce (I'll add a little ketchup) + jalapenos. The Sonic here is one of the good ones, so that's my spot for regular burger. I've yet to try their new smashburger, but I've seen reviews that were positive.
P.Terry's Whataburger just doesn't hit like it used to.....#5. I haven't had BK in a couple decades, and I'm not even sure if I've ever had it in the USA.
Double Whataburger with cheese, jalapenos, and bacon. Y'all got me hungry so I'm heading there now for one.
Damn, BK has turned to tiktok for instructional videos on how to train their employees....? Trying to capture the youths attention and have them bust ass for min wage. Id be all for it if teens didnt suck in the food industry. The main page says "The hottest place to work". LMAO Wendys is still the champ for fast food burgers.
I went to Wendy's a month ago with a friend who could stand to lose some lbs. I bought a salad and he got 2 triple burgers with fries and asked the lady to give him a salad too. She said, you really think that's gonna help? The nerve on that broad lol...but he still ate all of that in one sitting.
I really miss the Dave Thomas "yellow" Wendy's. The fries back then were so much better than the sea salt natural cut ones they have now. I miss the Texas Double cheeseburger (99 cents!!).
2 Jr Bacon Cheese for $2.16, throw one of the buns away and make a double. Perfect quick cheap lunch when you're on the go.
The important question is: where do you draw the line on fast food these days? Cost? Speed of preparation? I can order pickup at Chilis or Red Robin, the price is not much more and the burger is far superior. It’s still convenient and I have to drive. There’s a little smash burger place a few blocks from my Galveston property that I can order via an app and pick up. Amazing burger on homemade fresh buns and fries for $12. And I can get a beer there too when I pick it up. If it’s a drive-through, which, when you think about it is sort of archaic, requires you to wait in a sometimes long line and more prone to error due to human interaction, I guess Whataburger.
Every low-to-mid restaurant is "fast food" if you order ahead and pick it up. I consider "fast food" to be a drive thru or park-and-order. Speed does not matter.
Most times you don't want your "fast food" to be fast. Then you're getting the stuff that's been sitting around for an hour or so
My order isn't generally the standard so I don't worry about that one. Back to my point, unless you love a specific classic 'fast food' place and can afford a $10-15 burger, there are better options that are just as, or even more, time-effective to buy. Trying to push a paradigm shift here. Getting food has changed. My wife will go by Wendy's some nights and I scratch my head thinking, if we're paying for a meal to be made, we could have just gotten Chilis for a small percentage more.
