that’s pretty much how I see the season going. FVV and Jalen will be the primary ball handlers in the half-court. Amen will get a fair share of opportunities throughout the season. They will not give up on him after a bad TO game or two. Sheppard won’t get in the mix until someone gets hurt or someone is traded. I’m hoping for a trade and Sheppard getting decent minutes by the second half. BTG better get ready for a RGV stint for Reed. There is no shame in it. It’s how the Rockets operate.

Also when Amen gets his minutes to run as a lead ball handler it should be with both Jalen and Cam on the floor with Jabari and maybe Adams as the big being the screen setter. I think that is a good line up for Amen to have have his on ball lead ball handler reps as that is a very fast team that can space the floor which is the prime condition to try out Amen as a lead ball handler.

That would be a great lineup. Not sure it has to be Adams, especially if Sengun really gets going from 3.

Damn I forgot how much I love watching this team! The first half last night was beautiful to behold. Can't wait for the real thing.

He will if Tari steps up big time. Amen could also help push DB out the door.

But he's a lock as the starting SF this season as long as he's on the roster.

Good point! My guess is Amen and Reed will share "PG" minutes next to Jalen. This will be a trial run to see if either guy can initiate the offense.

We looked great last night. Super excited to see the season unfold.

Brooks looks to me to be the odd man out but until Tari can prove he can stay healthy it's probably worth having him around for now. Injuries always happen.

I do think there are certain matchups where Brooks doesn't have a replacement on the roster (should be Jabari but it just isn't right now). Wemby, Chet, Zion, and Lebron are a few that I don't think anyone on our roster can handle outside of Dillon who has the size to push Chet/Wemby around and can bump Zion/Lebron. Tari can't. Amen *might* because he has crazy hands and crazy athleticism/instincts.

This also is the reason there are positives about Amen playing from the bench this year. He can get those type of reps more often I would think if 1-2 of the starters are on the floor.

Also Brooks likely plays the least minutes of all of the starters. Which could be a good thing as well because he can go all out on defense if he has less minutes.

    positive thoughts!!

In context, every team was resting its starters for 1 half in Preseason games, that has been tradition.

Preseason is essentially souped up Summer League with more NBA players.

The Jazz are a team that cannot decide whether they play starters more or just tank right away.

Not size but bulk/girth, Dillon is not a high IQ player though.

I hope Tari will play in the next game. Amen should learn from Tari's example.
Tari has improved his jumper appreciably.

Pat Bev/Marcus Smart/Lance Stephenson/Dillon Brooks are cut from the same cloth. Frankly Draymond should be there as well but his IQ is probably higher than all of these guys combined.

This is what my wife keeps telling me (before she cries herself to sleep). "It's not the size/girth, it's the IQ."

Sports is a place for all those physically gifted and most of them date those that prioritize physique as well.
