"Cant' be like one of one player ever in the NBA - not impressed"

    What a troll statement.

Amen will be the difference maker for this team. We will be as good as he is. The rest of the team I really dont expect any surprizes from any of them, good or bad. It is Amen who will decide how far we can go in the play offs

He does look kind of like Westbrook going coast to coast after a defensive rebound.

But I'm sure he is much smarter than Russ, and is taller and without the hero complex.

Jalen looked good yesterday and looked good when a certain somebody was inserted into the starting lineup last year. Coincidence?

It also took him three fewer steps without dribbling.

Amen is tall, long and explosive. His defense is great, but he has to start taking mid range shots and at least one 3 a game.
The pre season doesn't count. He should shoot the ball freely.

He shot 13.8% from 3 last season. He should absolutely NOT shoot the ball freely. He should play within his substantial talents, not focus on the one thing he does that's historically bad. That's like saying "why does Shaq dunk so much, he should be shooting at least 1 3pt shot every game." Insanity.

1 trey doesn't move the needle, taking 5 and making 2 or 3 consistently would.

True, but he should start off with taking 5 mid range jumpers first, which have a better chance of going into the basket. Adding 3 pointers would be nice too.

I'm talking about pre- season games. Pass and shoot. If he can do a better job, then his confidence will increase going into the regular season. He can become a more versatile player like Shai.

Potential aside, RIGHT NOW he should be playing that Shawn Marion type of role where he's playing the 3/4, and doing a little bit of everything. I want him guarding the best perimeter scorer on the other team. I want him cutting, and slashing. I want him getting out on the break, etc.

We can just push aside the Jimmy Butler comparisons for the time being because the reality is the guy hasn't yet proved he can shoot a basketball. Much less be a number one offensive creator on the perimeter.

Let's just let the guy first do what he already does best but at a high level.

Are you on drugs? Shai can shoot, Amen's got a while before he gets anywhere close to justifying being allowed to shoot that much.
