I have a deep hate for most social media. Belive it or not. I divorced my first wife as a result. She got into ghost hunting. In a major way. And she was on Facebook all day and night with her clique when she got back from her trips. Analyzing emf's and all that. It's very unsettling being in the same room with someone and never saying a word. And if I did she wouldn’t even hear me because of the noise canceling headphones. Very sad. It became her personal validation. I think that is the same for some on this board.
Ghost hunting? For real? I'm not knocking you but that's wild. I've also seen a few spirits myself but always in liquid form.
Because Donald Trump has never been popular among a majority of Americans. Speaks to the point above. 30+ years of telling a political minority that they're the "real" Americans undermines their faith in a system that repeatedly rejects their politics, but rewards them due to structural inefficiencies. She has visited North Carolina. I also imagine they aren't critical when Donald Trump appears on fringe podcasts like "Blood Storm Report" or some ****. No hypocrisy is too strong for partisans so long as it ultimately results in aligning with their partisanship. Honestly, I hate myself too. I can see it. Male resentment is a massively troublesome force in this country and we need real leaders that help men feel economically empowered and strong while not promoting the worst things about masculinity like Trump.
I couldn't make that up if I tried. Not the only reason for the divorce but it was the straw that broke.. you know. Only time I saw spirits was drinking Gin before seeing U2 at Hofeinz Pavillion back in the day.
We stay in touch. She is straight conspiracy theory these days. she would love this board for sure. She has a Masters in English. Even book smart people fall down the rabbit hole and never come out.
There’s no word salad here, and certainly no 1984 scenario. It’s ironic coming from a Trump supporter, given that he often makes little sense and has repeatedly said he would prosecute political rivals and even Google for showing "bad stories" about him. If you watched the full 60 Minutes tweet below with the extended Q&A, you’d understand the context. But if you’re just relying on snippets from END Wokeness, you’re bound to be misled, just like you and Bill Ackman have been. (... until the next misleading tweet from END Wokeness and Ackman ...)
It's disinformation. The question implies there isn’t federal funding going to NC, which is a lie spread by Trump. You are once again being misled by partisan tweets. To be misled, you have to trust partisan sources while ignoring what the local government has said. Republican South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster said at a Tuesday press conference that federal assistance had “been superb,” noting that Biden and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had both called and told him to let them know whatever the state needed. McMaster added that the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Deanne Criswell, had also called. He said, “So we’re getting assistance, and we’re asking for everything we need.” Republican Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin said at a Monday press conference, “I’m incredibly appreciative of the rapid response and the cooperation from the federal team at FEMA.” He specifically thanked Biden, among others, in a press release the day prior. Republican Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said at a Wednesday press conference that the response to his emergency declaration “was quick from the federal government,” adding there was “a fast turnaround, frankly,” in making the state eligible for some federal reimbursements. At a Tuesday press conference, Lee spoke of a “rush” of officials “from the federal to the state to the local, the local emergency management agencies, local county mayors with tears in their eyes out there serving their people. There is a great deal of hope when you see what is behind the effort, the coordinated effort, in this community to begin to rebuild.” Cooper, the North Carolina governor, has repeatedly praised the federal response. Sitting beside Biden during the president’s visit to North Carolina on Wednesday, Cooper said, “We’re grateful for the quick actions and close communications that we have had with the president and with the FEMA team,” adding moments later, “And Mr. President, we know that we have made a lot of asks of you, and we are grateful for your ear and for your actions.” Cooper said in a briefing on Tuesday: “I briefed President Biden and Vice President Harris each on two occasions, and they have committed every resource available to this recovery. I appreciate the president’s quick approval of our major disaster declaration this weekend and his direction that FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell will continue to be here on the ground,” saying that residents were already starting to receive assistance funds. The Democratic mayor of the hard-hit North Carolina city of Asheville, Esther Manheimer, said on MSNBC on Tuesday: “We are seeing incredible help, from the federal government to the state to the private sector to the nonprofit sector, faith-based organizations, everyone pouring in here with their help.” She emphasized that rebuilding from the “catastrophic” situation would take a long time regardless.
I mean just say I’m not going to get involved in criticizing Joe Biden or Monday morning quarterbacking, and I’m looking forward to doing X Y Z (all of which is new or different). How the hell do you flub such an obvious question. Political malpractice.
That's a very sad story and I wonder how close many people are to being in similar situations right now. It's like the human brain was not evolved to deal with where the internet is taking us.
Yeah, he needs to let someone else run his twitter. Have that person throw in some all caps and run-on sentences so it isn't too obvious.
Old school media complains for months for more Harris access - she gives it to them - and they come up with.....stuff like this on 60 Minutes: Donald Trump is super racist, but yet people support him! How do you respond to that?!!? I feel embarrassed for Bill Whittaker - whoever the f he is - what purpose does this question (or whole interview) possibly serve? Like is it supposed to help people decide who to vote for? Understand some pressing issue? Most people are already decided - this question already rules out 90% of your viewing audience. The remaining 10% are low information dunderheads who either don't pay attention at all or are just not entirely stable - the "policy" or 'vision' difference between the candidate who favors multiracial Democratic pluralism and the senile old sack of **** who can't string 2 sentences and who is promising to abolish democracy in favor of a Nazi Purge - can't really be more clear cut in terms of stakes. An interesting POLICY question for Harris - for me, would be "when a nutjob MAGA judge declares the IRS unconstitutional, that blacks can't vote, and Donald Trump your Lord and Savior and there's 4.5 supreme Court votes in favor of it, what are you going to do, " trust the process " that is clearly rigged and broken, or try to save our constitution by putting the courts back in their place?" That's an example of an INTERESTING question for me - but it's not the type of question Dana Bash or 60 Minutes is willing to ask - they have other priorities. So - honestly if you're the Harris campaign, why bother with this kind of interview at all? They all just benefit the interviewers ego - they don't help voters or candidates or democracy. Imo this just validates the strategy of try to reach voters via Call her Daddy/Colbert/Oprah/View etc rather than 60 minutes - at least there's a chance of reaching non voters there and you don't have to deal with nonsense questions that don't help or serve anyone
She gets overly comfortable and likely did not prepare as well for The View. It is a tough question because she has had to walk that line between having been VP and doing things the way she wants. There are always going to be a few flubs - from my perspective this is her first.
