It's interesting how that frequently happens that people feel free to be nastier online than they do in person.

I truly don't understand how people who supported Bernie Sanders will now support someone who is antithetical to most of what Bernie Sanders stands for.

Instead of the usual suspects posting countless tweets from random incels & racist randos posting from their tin-foil lined basements?

If your morals, values, and religious beliefs allow you to justify supporting a person as flawed as dip$hit, it's time to reassess your life choices.

Populism transcends party lines. Same reason RFK Jr. backs Trump.

It's one thing to feel as a Democrat that the issues important to you aren't getting the attention and priority they deserve by your party leaders. It's another altogether to join the party opposing literally everything you claim matters to you.

RFK is another example. What populist principles does Trump share with Sanders? Climate Change? Progressive Taxation? Universal Healthcare?

Also to add, support for the Palestinians?

I can't say it chills me that much either as I don't know enough about what Deloitte does for the government in the first place. It's more like, yeah, that's who I thought Trump and company were...

RFK supports Trump because Trump offered him a job in his administration. RFK said that the Harris team wouldn’t even take his calls.

I get your point, but when the party keeps ignoring your issues and taking your support for granted, you look elsewhere. A lot of former Dems felt pushed out, and Trump’s anti-establishment message, regardless of party, spoke to that frustration. Now you're seeing the Republican party slowly adopt old school Dem views.

I get the frustration some have with the government and can see why Trump's words are appealing to some, especially blue-collar types. It's just... his sincerity leaves more than a little to be desired, IMHO. ;)

And what issues are the Democrats ignoring they Trump is going to pay attention to that Sanders supporters stood for?

Again is it addressing climate change?
    Progressive taxation?
    Universal healthcare?
    How about reducing corporate power?

I wasn’t a Bernie bro but it seemed like those were all issues that Bernie Sanders pushed.

Even leaving aside what possible fealty Trump may have to Bernie Sanders’ issues his sincerity to his own supporters’ issues should be questioned.

He promised to build the biggest and best infrastructure but only had infrastructure weeks.
He promised to save coal and instead the coal industry shrank under him.
He promised to replace the ACA and replace it with the biggest best healthcare and failed ti repeal the ACA and only has a concept of a plan even now.
He promised to win trade wars and bring manufacturing jobs back instead the trade deficit increased and manufacturing decreased under him.
And of course Mexico never paid for the wall.

so it wasnt about policy then because bernie and trump are at opposite ends on almost everything except perhaps their advocacy of protectionist trade policies.
