    Dude,
would be assassin #1 probably had no idea about what you stated in reason #2.
He was a deranged teen. Out of touch with reality.

#2 would probably agree with you.
Although he seemed more upset with Ukraine than Trump being a rapist.

    Just keeping it real.

I'd love to hear those beliefs typed out and argued instead of incessantly posting tweets. That goes for everyone! One the advantages of this BBS is that it isn't Twitter and its natural state lends itself to discussion.

Integrity means you can't overlook uncomfortable facts, like his rape conviction, or him being a convicted felon, or a convicted fraudster, or conman, or a sued for being a pedophile with Epstein (Twice) - or the 26 women who accuse him of Sexual assault.

Values, morals, integrity, honor - all matter - and you can't legitimately say you have any of that if you vote for Trump, because those are ALL THE TIME things, not sometimes things.

What you said is very true but his degenerative behavior is not why the two individuals tried to kill him.

    Am I wrong?

    With all due respect.

I get that to a point. I just am not one who wants to hear it day in and day out, because I find so much of it toxic, hateful, or just plain BS echoed from lying Trump. I have plenty of family and friends who are die hard Republicans, but most aren't the types that are obsessed sharing right wing propaganda and extremist beliefs, or MAGA racist hate crap, propaganda and lies echoed by Trump. We get along fine, and it's not a toxic environment hanging out. There's a big difference between many of the Republican voters and the MAGA right wing extremist types. It's only those types I choose to ignore.

I would to but a big part of this culture is very short term attention span and frankly laziness. Clutchfans D&D doesn't define culture but is a reflection of culture.

MAGA though is not only blurring that distinction but is outrightly hostile. We've seen how many who don't support or even those who do support Trump but not 100% are criticized and even threatened by MAGA.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Like I said, it's only the extremist types I choose not to hang out with, and to ignore in the thread. They are just a small fraction of Republicans. If you like arguing your points with them have at it.

It goes the other way around too. People who just slightly criticize the Dems are automatically seen as Trump supporters/far-right MAGA. I noticed this for the first time in 2016 and it hasn't let up since

I'm saying I don't think they are as small a fraction of the GOP. My business partner is a long time Republican and still nominally is but he is a strong Trump critic and doesn't feel welcome by much of the party.

My main point though is we have to live with even the MAGA supporters. In martial arts there are many MAGA supporters. I still deal with them and still consider myself friends with several.

You're going to have to define "slightly criticize". I slightly criticized Kamala Harris today but that doesn't make me a trump supporter.

I think it's more the people who claim to not support Trump but consistently defend him.

Watch this if you have a chance and Ana Kasparian mentions what I'm saying at the beginning. I was a disenfranchised Bernie supporter in 2016 after voting for Obama twice, but because I wasn't towing the line behind Hilary I was a Trump supporter. That is what happened to me back then and why I stopped identifying as a Democrat (and no one should identify with a political party tbh):

I have no idea why they tried to kill him? Maybe because he sows hate, and divisiveness? You literally get back what you put in, and it seems he is getting feedback in the form of bullets for his dangerous rhetoric......

As for why or what put these men over the edge, only God and they know the answer, and none of them are talking about it, maybe the dude in Florida will be asked why.......

It isn't great that crazy people in this country are allowed to buy firearms....but again the GOP is "GREED OVER PEOPLE" they always side with more money instead of "What is good for this country".....

Money first is a terrible governance strategy.

In the end, Trump is like Rush Limbaugh, a terrible angry racist white man that no one will talk about when they are gone - just a dead guy that made no real impact.

    2. Yep, someone tried to kill him because he is an *******, a fraudster, and a rapist and a convict - and he preaches hate, you reap what you sew.

    DD[/QUOTE]

But you stated earlier they tried to kill him because the reasons above.
Now you are saying you don't know.
    You were very sure before.

I'm in no way defending Trump, but saying it his fault that:
    "You reap what you sew"

That's kind of bad form. Am I wrong?

I always consider the poster of the tweets and never draw any conclusion from that garbage.

Your statement is different. It is directly from you.
It tells me if he got shot and died its his fault.

No one should espouse such thoughts.
This is the problem with this election.
Hate has taken over on BOTH sides.

I would have more respect for them if they did not vote for the moral character of their gop candidate, I get so sick of people saying, "I`m not voting for him to be my pastor", no, you are voting for the leader of the free world who has shown us who he is................believe who he says he is. I didn't think he could get any lower but now he is lying about a natural disaster for political gain putting people's lives in jeopardy, I am not sure you can get lower than that but give him time and trump will show us just how low he can go

The D&D and other forums where politics are discussed can be unhealthy and maddening, for sure.

I'm planning to focus on myself more after Nov. 5. I'm not totally sure what that's going to look like, but I know what there will be less of. :)

I just want to lean into the last comment that hate has taken over both sides, I don't agree with that, you have extremists on both sides and the rhetoric that comes from them is just plain stupid, but when maga started taking a larger hold of the gop they had to espouse to the will of trump and trump spews hate daily so the surrogates have to keep up with that line of hate and regurgitate it to all who will listen. Just this past week we have to listen to the lies about FEMA, Aid, how the WH has done during the crisis, to me that is hate because it directly affects our fellow American`s. I am sure the left does have some idiots who spew hate but in general IMO the majority of hate comes from maga, but that's just my opinion

Hope your relatives in FL get through this storm my man..................it looks absolutely horrific

    Thanks for the response.
I do agree with you that Trump and his people are throwing anything against the wall to see if will stick.
It's frankly white noise to me at this point.

I have already voted and am sitting back and just being an observer of all the crap being slung around.
    I love election night.

I know we don't all agree on much, but can we at least all agree it is "you reap what you sow", not "sew"?
