It wasn't nonsense for anyone who understands the immigration issue. There is no solution but temporary band-aids until Congress acts. Trump killed it for his political gain, and Trump supporters know this. 60 Minutes does tweet. You can go straight to them instead of a partisan source that cut off the video. 60 Minutes has always been pretty good. Trump and Vance, since their campaign is built on lying to Americans, are too scared to face it.
Why did the numbers quadruple under her watch, and why didn't she take the actions that were taken now over 3 years ago? She actively initially said there wasn't a problem, and chanted against deportation.
The numbers quadrupled under Biden-Harris compared to Trump-Pence. And she expressly chanted slogans against deportation, and claimed there was no problem whatsoever at the border.
We are watching Kamala's campaign implode right before our eyes. Harris is down 3 points in an internal poll conducted by Senate candidate Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin, according to this morning's WSJ. If that's right, she is cooked.
There’s a lot of short term memory loss. For those who don’t remember the Biden Admin in 2021 was operating under the title 42 immigration rules that greatly limited immigration in 2021 the USSC rules they couldn’t continue those once the CoVId emergency was over. That is what led to the surge in border crossings. They negotiated a new border security bill that would’ve legally implemented many restrictions on border crossings along with major new funding to border security. As we know that bill is stalled in Congress. Last Spring Biden put in an executive order that has many of the same features as the bill. BORDER CROSSINGS HAVE SIGNIFICANLTY DROPPED IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. an executive order though doesn’t have the same legal force as a law passed by Congress and the latest executive order is being challenged in court and likely will be overturned at some point.
I think DeSantis has bigger issues to worry about. Also Harris’ VP candidate is sending aid to his state.
Trump faced it in 2020 60 minutes. He got pissy when they asked tough questions and he left. Now he wants an apology for their tough questions.
Sometimes, you get surprised positively. Watching this journalist (who was not previously known to me), it was almost like he was really trying to be kind to her, but also loyal to his professional ethos. The previous "interviews" weren't just full of softball questions, they were more like when an NBA team employee interviews the owner. You just knew they wouldn't dare to even ask any remotely uncomfortable questions. To his credit, this journalist, at least sometimes, didn't let her get away with pre-fabricated soundbites. Basically, he just did his job. But at times, it almost looked like he was hoping for her to not be a moron, and then made that "lord have mercy" phase when she uttered her usual evasive word salad creations. I hope he doesn't suffer any negative consequences for the professional way in which he conducted the interview. Mind you, it was a FAR cry from the open hostility Trump experiences all the time from leftist journalists. He was just being a professional.
Do you applaud Kamala Harris' evasive, non-sensical word salads? Do they give you a warm, fuzzy feeling about having her as your potential president?
Not really and I’ve said before she was evasive with her answers. I don’t think Harris is perfect nor do I agree with her on everything. I can’t think of a president or presidential candidate that I have. That doesn’t mean she isn’t far superior to the who is running On the other side. Just to add though I don’t go around criticizing main stream media and suddenly act surprised when they asked tough questions.
Fair enough - I disagree, but I can respect your opinion, because you aren't acting like a blind party shill. As previously explained, I think the other candidate is FAR from perfect himself, but just greatly prefer his side's policies.
He has also gone out of his way to politicize it. From getting on his soap box at his press conference and trying to rip the current administration, to not taking phone calls from the administration to his latest comments. His rhetoric is simple - he does something and then accuses the other side of doing it. He is right about one thing, as VP - Harris had very little control over policy or what the administration did. Because it is politically expedient- suddenly the VP has morphed into the President.
Yes it’s funny how simultaneously many on the right will claim that Harris has had full Control of the administration and is responsible for everything that has happened in the World the last three years but then will also claim the VP has no real power.
