Local guys have said Sting, Kamari, Henry, Aziz and Pitre have played 100% of the snaps thus far. They don’t think it’s sustainable.
someone remind me again, was this the last time the texans faced the patriots with Jacoby Brissett as the QB? Link
Texans have had the hardest strength of schedule of any AFC team so far, based on current records. Indy 2-3 Bears 3-2 Vikes 5-0 Jags 1-4 Bills 3-2 Those 5 teams are 13-7 against everyone not named the Texans. The Vikings defense is on pace to be a top 10 defense of all time...I get it's only 5 games, but we played them within those 5 games. After all that, the Texans are 4-1 and would be the 2 seed in the AFC if the playoffs started today. We'd play the Chargers in the first round.
The Vikings just look like there on a different level, I hope they come back to earth, I can't buy stock in Darnold but he is doing it so I will give him props but I wonder if its fools gold
Yeah, I'm not sure they hold up either. NFL season ebbs and flows...teams look amazing one week and mediocre to crappy the next. This includes teams we think are or thought were contenders. Ravens looked amazing a couple of weeks ago...won a tough divisional game yesterday...but they're also the same team that lost to the Raiders who may very well be the worst team in the league. Chiefs are the Chiefs...but their fans will tell you that, despite their good record, they're not playing well enough to beat really good teams right now. Sound familiar? Bills were favorites to be a title contender...and they still are...but I bet their fans aren't thrilled with how the last 2 weeks have dropped them from 3-0 to 3-2. Saints looked amazing first 2 weeks...not so great since. It's a long season. If you're 4-1 and you believe your team CAN play better than they already have, then that's a pretty good position to be in.
4-1 and the offense can’t run the ball, can’t stop the penalties and is in perpetual third and long. If they played mistake free, like in the first half, they’d be blowing people out. Good teams find ways to win even when not playing to their capabilities. Texans are in as good a place as any contender. Plenty of season to smooth things out and get Mixon, Harris and Autry back. We haven’t seen nearly what this team is capable of yet.
Packers are absolutely capable of beating the Texans…and vice versa. I just thought it was a good excuse to break out that video clip
I’m old af and I’ve never watched my team in any incarnation play in even a conference championship game. I was 5 in 1979 when the Oilers played in it, and if I watched it I certainly don’t remember it. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to wake up Super Bowl Sunday knowing my team is playing. That seems crazy to me. It’s nice to be relevant…nice start with tons of potential to improve. Super happy with the way the defense played yesterday against a really good team.
