I’m ok with Nico and even Mixon missing next week against the Patriots. We should have the horses to beat the Patriots at Gillette. If we can’t then Ppl should be fired. Against the Packers the following week…as much as I’d like to win that one, we can afford to loose it as it’s an out of conference game. The Following week it’s the Colts and thats the one we need all decks on hand.

So let’s hope we have everyone healthy for the Ponys.

Texans +/- is -12, 102pts scored, 114pts allowed. That might suggest their record is a little inflated when you look at their +/- side-by-side with the other top records in the AFC. DEF needs to tighten up

Yes D is about the same. A little worse on run D, then little better on passing to even it out. But I feel theyve gotten really lucky that more deep balls have been incomplete. In fairness, can also credit the D for "forcing" errant throws, since deep passes are low percent throws overall. (Take away underneath, force them to beat deep) But selfishly wanted the D to be a little stronger

Its also showing that PENALTIES, rough special teams plays, and untimely turnovers can mess things upm. I have understated how bad the pre-snap penalties were harming the team. Those can be really demoralizing. Can lose faith on even running a basic play

I think the areas to improve:

    - Bad run blocking. Oline discipline.

    - Overall health & depth on both sides .Agree on Autry, Harris & others. I dont blame the low RB depth for all the running struggles. Even with a suddenly sucky Pierce. But need the prime producers like Mixon much as possible.

    - Coaching. Whole unit really. Slowik has to be better. Demeco doesnt have to be a brilliant tactician, but he can improve in some situational areas. That includes the penalties, accountablility on Too Early Tunsil, etc.

Thats my ROR Rodgers Own Research. Some healthy players, a little ivermectin on hand, Hannah investigating the "basketball refs" agenda, and things can improve

This isn't baseball. They've played 5 football games and got wallopped in 1 of them.

Pretty much this. We are in a damn good position even with the subpar play. It does give us a bit of cushion as we go into the season and know that the rest of the division is ass.

Headed into Week 6, a couple of moves I would love to see Nick consider
    - Sign TE Zack Kuntz off Jets PS (Sims to PS // JJIII cut)
    - See if Bengals will bite on Dameon Pierce for Joseph Ossai trade (Ossai can play LB and rush the passer)
    - bring back Harris (Weaver cut or to PS & cut Hambright)
    - I think Ward is headed to IR (just a feeling // knocks on wood) = activate King and have him play FS // dime role (Pitre out & King in on obvious passing downs)

work the phones to see if any of the following are available:
    - Jonathan Owens-Biles (CHI) maybe claim Tarvarius Moore off Bears' PS?
    - Tycen Anderson (CIN)
    - JT Woods (PHI - PS) can sign outright; from SA
if any acquired, Boyd to PS & Pride cut

I get the first 4 games. But this game, the first half looked great.
Stupid play call in 4th and 1, bad INT in red zone, and a fumble inside our own 10. 2nd half obviously didn’t look as good, but we just beat a Bills team that a lot of ppl thought were going to rout us because they were the first real team other than Vikings.

well we beat them, but because we didn’t blow them out we’re gonna say they didn’t look good? I think they looked much better and are trending up if they remain disciplined and get some guys back healthy.

A TD late to win the game followed by an inexplicable missed PAT.

    Positives:
The Texans defense was damned good today. Getting Autry and Christian Harris back should help, too.
The improvement of the offense should come as the offensive line plays together more often and Mixon and Collins return.
    Issues:
    Defensive tackles.
    The guard play.
    Bobby Slowick.
    Tommy Townshend.
    Jimmie Ward's health.

I wonder what four clean quarters would look like. In other words, when. the Texans "put it all together." I believe the Texans are a "V8" but are hitting on only 3 or 4 cylinders. Ra ra coaching will only get you so far. Play design and play calling are works in progress.
