I can tell you that the whole visa process is extremely detailed, at least for my family and me. Unless someone is deliberately applying different rules to a whole lot of people, I don't see how they could have gone through the same process.

 

The last posts though goes to something frequently done by the current Right. Because they rely on inherently biased sources such as tweets from individuals who have self interested reasons to be biased they believe that others are the same. Even though they are relying on limited sources they then project it to others they are too and try to undercut those arguments hypocritically.

With the Haitian in Springfield the Mayor of Springfield and governor are Republicans and political opponents of the Biden Harris administration. The same with a lot of what we see in areas affected by Hurricane Helene. A lot of the finger pointing and criticism is based on anecdotal evidence and frequently by self interested and politically biased figures like Musk.

On the other hand we see governors and other officials who have politically been very critical of Biden Harris and even campaigned for Trump lie Glenn Youngkin and Brian Kemp saying they are working well
With the federal government and that the government is responsive.

JD Vance said this about TPS (temporary protective status): "That doesn’t magically make them legal... I'm still going to call them illegal aliens."

What it essentially comes down to is that, for him, only the immigrants he approves of are considered legal, regardless of what the law says. That's not how it works, but it's how Trump and Vance want it to be. It shouldn’t come as a surprise—Project 2025 is targeting legal immigration too.

Implying that their "legal" status is up for debate is simply 100% wrong. Those with TPS, by law, are 100% legal. There is no if, but, disagreement, or uncertainty.

Biden didn’t create TPS. TPS was established as part of the Immigration Act of 1990, 34 years ago.

I don’t know every person’s status, but that’s a dumb point. It’s like asking if every NBA player on a winning team gave 100%. Even if a few didn’t, the team still won. Same with TPS holders—they’re legally protected. Focusing on outliers doesn’t change the law or the reality.
