I don't know about years of barely injured. That's an exaggeration. Yeah he played healthy last year but missed 15 games in the 3 seasons prior to that. Henry stayed healthy last year too and missed 10 games the 3 prior years.
How do you know it’s too much? He did it one game and had 160 yards. The next game an illegal tackle injured him within his first 15 touches that would have hurt anyone. I’m not making it personal. But you’re turning an unfortunate injury into some narrative that the whole thing is screwed and mixon can’t handle anything. agreed on DT, I also wanted Justin Simmons.
We going all the way back to 2020? But if you just take the last 3 years to 2021, mixon has missed 3 and Henry has missed 8. Henry is also older and can’t catch the ball. Also, is this a Mixon can’t be a workhorse back argument? Or an isn’t as good as Derrick Henry argument?
None of it matters now since we signed Mixon. I did prefer Henry though, but Mixon's an improvement at least. Henry is leading the league in rushing yards and is averaging 6 yards per carry and has 5 touchdowns. He's a beast, even if he is older. I'd be one happy camper if Mixon does that when he comes back.
I read he has to sit out for four weeks which would be an IR/Return designation and we're limited in how many times we can do that. With two used right off the bat, how many of these designations do we have left for the last 13 weeks or 9 weeks excluding the last 4 weeks?
Back issues are like soft tissue injury. The severity and recovery times are all over the place. In my own situation, I've had back issues which would almost paralyze me with any movement whatsoever and some real issues which were chronic, but just a matter of dealing with the pain and which at times were even helped with activity. But the most difficult is Sciatica which can go from mild to immobilizing and back again at any time.
