Nothing to do with that - Jalen doesn't have elite handles, elite vision, nor elite separation when the game is played on a half court level - playoff style. Now, maybe he has it in his 5th pro season 4th in the NBA, we shall see. DD
Yeah I totally forgot Sga was amazing before year 4 and ant year 4 and bookers year 4, shai isn't a pg in any stretch .his usage with the ball leads to assists, all traditional sg takes time in the league.. off ball type isn't worth trading for with greens talent first 3 years of career was wasted cause g league and worst coach in NBA history Silas. You make him seem like he's a total scrub
Bullshit, you can't blame the coach, development is on the player. SGA still would look great. Now, I am not saying GREEN is a scrub, I am saying that he isn't worth a Max contract, and if other teams will pay it you have to let him go...... Now if we get March Green all year, then you pay him and hope he is what he shows..... This is all on him.....no one else can develop Jalen, just Jalen. DD
Do you genuinely think people take your "player evaluation skills" seriously at this point? It's actually hilarious how you make these sweeping declarations whilst proving you know absolutely nothing about the game year after year after year.
I guess idiots like you don't but I think most of the old heads know I have been around long enough to know what I am talking about. And when you are talking opinions, it is a ton of conjecture anyway. Now, I used some 3 syllable words, let me know if you need me to break it down for you further.... Kids - SHEESH !!!! DD
Just ignore double d. Man is triggered folks didn't ride the kpj train as hard as he did and he is just lashing out at green. For a players development, a proper support system is needed. Good coach, good culture, good teammates. The idea that a player can only develop solely based on themselves is stupid as fk.
What is a 5th pro season but 4th NBA (professional league) season? Has it really come to folks counting 15 YMCA scrimmages as a pro season? From now on 15 summer workouts count as a season for those coming out NCAA/HS, excellent
his definition is anyone who gets paid is a pro, so a college senior who is in their rookie nba season is actually in their 5th season, if they got paid their 4 college years
It was more than 15 Gleague games, it was an entire year of training as a professional - you guys are making a ton of excuses, just stop, they don't need excuses made, it is a cut throat league, you either got better or you didn't....and all of that EVERY SINGLE bit is on the player....it is their life their career, stop coddling them, they don't need it. Look, losers make excuses, winners get better, don't be a loser. Funny how all the whiny excusers are not contributing members but are freeloaders here....but not surprising. DD
so the perks/$ that 14-15 yr old get is them making their pro ($) debut Since they are getting gifts to So the Fab 5 (mainly Howard/Webber/Rose) were in first two pro years at Michigan because they received money from their college for being NCAA stars? Hey to each their own, I bet he also got thinks people are coloring crayons (black/wight) as well And then will brag about his opinion/ intelligence Another one......if Tim Duncan who stayed all 4 yrs then got drafted by Spurs was in his 5th pro season but 1st pro NBA season? So if Duncan was getting paid under table at 13-15 yrs old that would start his pro (paiid) career? His definition? So its just his personal opinion? I guess KPJ is in his 7th season or 8th season
As a coach If I hired you to coach Rockets(top assistant) But sent you to coach 5a HS team for 15 games and then wait basically a year to coach How much film and sideline watching would help you prepare for pro? Wouldn't you rather just be on the bench with Ime soaking up real pro environment? Of course Green could practice shots etc But its nothing like the real deal Pro training camp / game etc Almost like a young boxer prepping for Jr olympics as opposed to real pro fights Sure they are boxing, just diff tiers And to sharpen that you need reps against big dogs Its reason why it's hard to make it for on HS straight to NBA Go look at the guard list and on who made the leap and then come back and talk bball Are you sure you coached bball before? Like serious level, not elementary players but HS/NCAA style?
But Luka was actually playing pro ball over there at like 15/16 Diff for him than comparing him to a HS 17/18 yr old from here going pro
Losing means learning Winning means advancing, maintaining from the trials n tribulations of learning (taking a L = Lesson) Nobody is coddling pro players But speaking about what happens is pretty much that Green declared for draft instead of going to college for that much needed season So he set himself back a year, and those advising him at that time Because I would have told him to attend big time program with pro style coach to max his lessons to next level But taking a yr off to g league it was dumb And that's why he need all 4 yrs old to showcase n come of age or flame out I always said it was on him to sink or swim You always seem to confuse Green with KPJ, who in his fourth season (after season) with Rockets got moved out by the new head honcho Udoka( you remember the hug of death at press conference) Is KPJ in his 10th season? Since he got kicked off USC/Cavs/Rockets we'll just add 3 - 5 more years for good measure
Your analogies are borderline silly. If your job, is as a pro athlete, you are a pro athlete. If you are in high school and you still attend classes or work, or other, you are not 100% focused on your job of basketball. You guys are nuts about any criticism - as I have said, Jalen isn't a BAD player, he just isn't worth the max.....and some team will offer to pay him that in the hopes he continues to develop. He has at best 1/2 a year here, to prove his value to the org as a max player, if not, he will be gone before the team loses him for nohing. And of course there are different tiers, but a PROFESSIONAL - who is PAID TO PLAY is a professional - their job is basketball - their responsibility is to get better at their job - and I do think Jalen has improved - just not as fast as some because he is a guy that has gotten by on athleticism his entire life, he is still learning the pro game, no one knows how long it will take for him to maximize what he will be, and I don't think he is there yet, but I also don't think he is a Max guy you build around...yet.... So, this is more about the situation the Rox org is in, and less about a fanboy's perspective of him as a player. And yes, Gleague with pro coaches counts as a pro year, as does Luka being a pro at 15......it isn't opinion either, they were pros. DD PS. I don't care about KPJ anymore he isn't our asset - I am not a player fanboy like you guys, I root for the name on the Front of the jersey first. However, for giggles, go back and read what I said would happen in the KPJ situation - I was spot on right all along the way.....and he is back in the league as I said he would be...you're welcome.
Mutual, some of your replies are shaqtin afool troll farm bot, but that's just who you are But what if you are getting paid in HS? Its not really that big of gap between HS senior phenom and high recruit freshman, they both get pampered on both sides, just like the pro players, they are being diva developed HS to NCAA......just look at Green HS resume being brown nosed.....and by Silas first two pro seasons KPJ was brown nosed but went over board in his privileges Your opinion on Green game is fine, I just said he is entering his 4th season and you keep adding pro years because of a g league stint of 15 scrimmage games and practicing alone in gym while preparing for NBA grind.......that's a great advantage there(not) As a NCAA and HS who gets paid/pampered.....their job is to perform Everything in life should be with professional approach I Am glad you are over KPJ and his 15 game stretch he had as Rocket in his 6 or 7th season, using your blueprint Now go coach your HS team for the season after you just inked to coach my pro team ....make sure you stay sharp and run alot of zone defense and never call timeouts
I hope Jalen is as good as some of you think he is.........that would be great for the Rockets, and I hope that if we trade him because he isn't you can move on. Some day you guys might understand the nuance of the discussion, but this day, is not that day apparently. Kids - SHEESH....GET OFF MY LAWN! DD
You can always tell who is the Jaterade club members because they always come with a political war cry word........HOPE (yes we can / I believe / more jobs for economy /transform the white house etc) A bunch of BS from fair weather politician (fake/liars) hopefuls And I Am ranking Green with his peers (about 40 players) on who made that diff jump from HS to NBA like O'Neal/Telfair etc And if you know anything about sports, that is super hard to do, which why its rare (and shouldn't be allowed) ''And no Stanley I won't get off of your lawn'' ---- Debo
So to you no terrible coaches exist? Always the players fault? Young player development growth is equal to a good coach and as to the player itself What great young player developed without a great coach? Silas is historically terrible..and look at his impact in Detroit.. he's a guide counselor not a head coach
