I don't know how much the announcers have been paying attention to the Stros this season. The back end of the bullpen has collapsed several times this season.
This game marks the end of the golden era of Astros. Most of us on this board now won't live long enough to see another era like this one.
The Astros were the only thing preventing a potential Yankee dynasty over the last decade, the nation will be overjoyed at their departure, but one day, and one day soon, they'll wish they were watching the Houston Astros in November.
I want to get rid of Press too. His body language has been horrid all season long. I have a feeling he's gleeful inside seeing his replacement blow it.
How is the dynasty over? This was one of the most injury ridden seasons I have ever watched. We literally lost 7+ pitchers and Yordan/Tucker barely played with each other midway when we got hot. (Yordan isn’t even 30) Also this team has had deep postseason runs for 7 seasons straight, the number of high pressure games is obviously going to wear on the players. Give them a summer of rest then we will see. Everyone always thinks the sky is falling.
Astros have given more more than I ever expected…like never would have imagined that my team would accomplish what they did. But I sure would like one more gold pennant before I leave the planet
I'll never forget the 2019 Astros team. Most talented team not to win a WS. We should've brought in Cole during the 7th inning of Game 7. I'll never forgive Hinch
We have been thru recent years when all we needed was 1 run up in 7th. This year showed the signs all along
We thought the same thing after 2023, then they lost their two top starters to TJ by mid May. Hunter, Spencer, and Framber haven't needed it yet, but with how common pitching injuries are, that just means they're due.
