That's always how it's going to be unfortunately. If we can't hit (today was going to be tough no matter what) they're going to have plenty of ammo
Probably not the right thing to say - but Valdez has struggled in 2023 and the start or 2024 in the playoffs, it isn't a large sample size, but when he struggles it is obvious.... look at his nightmare inning this year. He finished with a sub 3.00 era this season, but everyone just remembers the nightmare inning. Sometimes it gets lost how good Valdez has been at times, in the regular and post season because he has also had bad struggles at times .... it is just how it goes. As for TK - he doesn't like some of the Astros, including the owner and can be biased. He has made some comments in the past about the Astros, and some former and current players and some up in the owners box have let TK they dont appreciate his comments.
at least he hit the ball hard and we all know altuve will most likely swing at the 1st pitch. yordan and tucker have to change their approach if they see altuve swung at 1st pitch.
I agree that Bagwell can be arrogant, and he has said some dumb things. I just want to make people understand that he isn't behind the scenes making decisions and moves. If anyone has strong input it is Enos Cabell - who Crane respects because Cabell will tell Crane exactly what he believes even if it isn't popular or what Crane wants to hear. Regardless of whether the Astros win this series - this is going to be a very interesting off season, because it is abundantly clear that the Astros have weaknesses in their line up that must be addressed, and resources - but limited resources, to address the problems.
Espada wasting Blanco in this game when Cy Young was dominating...and now he's going to do the same to Hader
