Shame on MLB and the baseball writers for not putting him in the HOF. It’s too late now. RIP.

Damn, even if they do posthumously, that's ****ed up that he couldn't live to achieve it.

Look very hard and you'll find something on mlb.com. That's a shame.

    RIP.

RIP. Prolific player who should be in the HOF for his playing.

If only there were a MLB forum for this thread. Pete can’t even get the respect he deserves, even on Clutchfans.

Not to disparage the guy, but he struck me as kind of a pathetic *******. It's too bad it took him as long as it did to realize what he did was wrong and get help.

Hopefully he'll be admitted very soon posthumously.

Pete Rose was a great ballplayer but not that great of a human. He certainly wasn't in the same category as Dikembe for being a person.

I wouldn't have objected if he was in the HOF based on baseball accomplishments. While I wasn't a fan sympathy to his family, friends and those who were his fans.

Who's more gritty: Pete Maravich or Pete Rose?

Joe Jackson was an illierate man, he and several of his White Sox teammates were alleged to have taken $ from gamblers to fix the 2019 World Series.
In 1921, a Chicago jury acquitted Jackson and his seven teammates of wrongdoing. But MLB Commission, Judge Landis, banned Joe Jackson from baseball

Pete Rose knew about this precedence, and he still bet on baseball and lied about it.

I'm well aware of who Joe Jackson is. A lifetime ban is a ban for this world and the next, apparently.

His accomplishments on the field warrant HOF. If HOF were a morality contest, Ruth and Cobb would be banned as well. Ty Cobb killed a man, and is in the HOF, as he should be for his baseball accomplishments.
