Honestly sad about Jeremy Giambi, in his 40's, committing suicide by gunshot in his parents' home. Incredibly sad.

What do you guys think of the Donaldson Anderson beef? I think I'm on Donaldson's side on this. Anderson literally compared himself to one of the icons in baseball and racial equality in an interview with Sports Illustrated. Donaldson busted his chops for it, and Anderson had to pull the race card.

It sure is interesting how the MLB went from absolutely dead baseballs that could be crushed by the batter only to end up lazy pop outs to having HR numbers not seen since the late 90's and early 00's AND a washed up slugger reaching his highest HR total in years in half the plate appearances all in the same season.

I think it's pretty clear to anyone paying attention that the league is tampering with the baseballs again.

So Aaron Judge is at 60 home runs for the season and yet he has been batting leadoff pretty much the whole season and my question is why?

He's hit 2nd the whole year until recently, guessing it's for the extra ABs and the HR thing

Interesting to see the Giants giving C. Correa that much $.
Not really how the org has been rolling but they've felt a lot of heat from fans and local media this year.

You guys know Correa a lot better than I do, but it feels like a reach. He's not a Trout-like or Ohtani-like ballplayer, is he? I guess he's been consistent and dependable, also a good playoff performer.

the league has not yet committed as to whether MLB players would be allowed to participate,
Is the MLB making an Olympics-sized blunder ?

on the one hand, you have the NBA and NFL working hard to expanding its popularity worldwide, and then you have this Olympics-sized blunder by the MLB

How s**tty is that? I get it's a business. But it's not like they're actually using the time to develop someone and it's not like they're overspending and need to save the cash. I wonder if he has a case against the team via the union?

This Braves/Mets game is unbelievable. Forced into a doubleheader because of the hurricane. Winner of game 1 is automatically in. If one team sweeps, then the D'Backs make the playoffs. If they split, both Mets and Braves are in.

Braves go up 3-0 until the 8th inning when the Mets put up 6...only to have the Braves score 4 in the bottom half...and then to have the Mets score 2 more in the top of the 9th to go back up 8-7.Loser is forced to use a top starter in the 2nd game and not have any rested starters for the beginning of the Wild Card (assuming they win game 2).
