What happens if Mets win the first game? What's in play for game 2?

 

Now the Mets definitely have incentive to win game 2 (if they win game 1)... as they'll avoid the Padres.

Cardinals confirmed they’re rebuilding. Arenado, Gray, and Contreras are likely to be dealt. All 3 could help Houston.

Yep... but if they were rooting for any of these teams, you'd figured they'd want the Mets to win at least game 1 as they may have more of an incentive to win game 2 vs. what the Braves would have had if they won game 1.

But still fairly unclear how the Mets will play it if this holds up.

 

I think if the Mets or Braves win both they will play the Padres.

Arizona plays the Brewers if they get in.

 

I think they'd be happy to make the Postseason

 

Imagine needing a doubleheader on the day after the season ended to decide if you’re in the playoffs like some kind of impoverished street urchin could NOT be my team
