Gentle reminder that media day is a massive waste of time and never produces anything of value. Here is what will happen: Players will say: Worked on game Added "lean muscle" Improved stamina Feel more comfortable with the system Feel more comfortable with teammates Making noise in the playoffs is the goal Coaches will say: Met with players over the off-season and was impressed with how they worked out Guys look "bigger, stronger, and more confident/driven" Can now add new "wrinkles" to the offense because of continuity and growth Playoffs is the goal GMs will say: Absolutely in love with the team they have Not looking at anyone or doing anything Supreme confidence in the coach and his staff Excited to see the continued growth of players Playoffs is the goal Owner will say: Eat at Landry's
Something is better than nothing though! And it’ll be nice to see all the players outside of social media posts but yah as far as content, nothing really to see.
Ya you aren't going to gather new information from media day. The reason why it's exciting to fans is because it signals that the season is about to begin. You get to see our guys back together in their uniforms knowing that training can has started. It's just a symbol of the dredges of the off-season almost being over.
No reason to believe they're not healthy. With Adams I don't really care if he needs 20 games to get in game shape. We have Jock too.
Couldn't disagree more. There's a historically unique number of high value prospects on the roster so it would shock no one if we had the most internal improvement in the NBA. We've been hoarding old players for two decades now. Also we never had such severely under-coached and skinny players. Super weird arc we have. For once, a big summer is realistic.
The Interviews are fine, I know some guys were nitpicking, as peeps said, very casual, Media day-esque....
I agree. This team is incredibly deep. Just normal year to year improvement from the young core would normally add several more wins. I think we pass up all the Geriatric 4 (LAC, LAL, PHO, GS) and challenge for a top 6 seed with NO, MEM, & SAC. If the West wasn't so deep, I would expect 50+ wins.
I'd say sometimes the GM and/or the coach adds some information that may not have been known before, but mostly agree.
