I’m sure it’s been discussed but I’ve been watching CFB: If Houston holds here, Cleveland and The Yankees will enter the final games of the MLB reg tomorrow tied for the best record in The American League. NY holds the tie-breaker. Astros face the 2-seed if they get out of the 1st Rd
Perfect situation for Hader, but he pitched yesterday with a 4-run lead.... smh Bottom of the lineup for Dubin, so at least there's that.
Singleton needs to be our first baseman in like 80 percent of the playoff gmaes for his defense alone. Plus his OPS is above 700 now. He had to bring it up , so he has actually been a fair bit north of that figure recently. Lets hope we get the W. I've been keeping track on gameday , that last inning was crazy to see.
Very nice. Playoff pitching staff: 3 starters 4 main relievers Blanco Arrighetti Verlander Ort King Is that it?
Was this the last W by Verlander as a starter in an Astros uniform? Or do we see Verlander get another shot at some point in the playoffs??
I will repeat Verlander is the greatest pitcher ever in the post season pre World Series, going an astonishing 16-6 in his career, the most wins of any pitcher in history.
I do not believe that to be true. KC holds the tiebreaker, so the magic number is 1 for us to play the Royals, either a Detroit win or a KC loss tomorrow. Probably looking at 80% chance at this point.
^^^THIS^^^ KC is a game back and they won the season series over the Tigers 7-6. If the Tigers lose again to the White Sox and the Royals beat the Braves KC will be the #5 seed. If the Tigers win tomorrow we'll face KC.
