Hahahahaha. So true. I forgot about the shrewd deal making strategy of announcing that the US should let Putin do whatever the hell he wants Lol. The deal that ended the Korean war, was that achieved by refusing to say we want S. Korea to win and the N. Koreans can do whatever the hell they want. Is that how that deal was reached?
Trump is just BS-ing. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Even the Russians rejected the idea that the war could end in one day when he made that statement. Like much of what he says, it's just a thoughtless statement, let alone an idea of how it could be accomplished. But he has spoken enough for us to guess what he would do. He will not support Ukraine. He will pull funding, military intelligence, and diplomatic backing. He’s also stated explicitly that he would lift sanctions on Russia. At that point, Ukraine would have to rely on European countries for financial and military aid. While they would likely continue fighting and could still push Russia out of their territory, it would be significantly more difficult without U.S. support. Ultimately, Putin would benefit greatly from the U.S. stepping back. Don’t assume that without U.S. support, Putin would be content with just a portion of Ukraine. He might reconsider his goals again and attempt to take over the entire country again. Especially with Trump casuing a potential collapse of NATO, Putin could see an opportunity to go beyond Ukraine.
Choice of fear - you mean like if Kamala gets elected, we'll have WW3, a great depression, Israel will be wiped off the map, Catholics will be gone, and so on and so forth? Why is it that you worry so much about Hillary bringing dread but look past the actual candidate in Trump talking about WW3???? I mean, I really wonder how this flies by you cognitively.
@Commodore conventionally forgets that prominent lifetime Republicans, from judges to senators to his own cabinet members, have said he is unfit, is a danger to the republic, and could end U.S. democracy. For those who claim free speech is the most important issue, just yesterday, he threatened to criminally charge Google for showing "bad stories" about him. All the warning signs of authoritarianism are glaring. If an authoritarian leader is what you want, he's your candidate. But if you truly value free speech, fair elections, and a functional democracy, you know he's a serious threat to all of those.
How is Trump masculine? He can't work with his hands or fix anything. He cannot fight or physically defend himself. He left his pregnant wife to pay for sex with a prostitute. He doesn't really have a lot to teach anyone and he wasn't a hands on father when his kids grew up. I see nothing masculine about Donald Trump.
Trump is a weak mans idea of a strong man and a poor mans idea of a rich man. We have failed and this is what we get. I blame Regan and Bill Clinton.
