Is this the worst third baseman performance in franchise history? It's insane that it's happening immediately after maybe the best third baseman in franchise history took a sort of final bow.

The funny thing is that before they called up Whitcomb, Dana Brown was giving an interview and they asked him about Whitcomb playing multiple positions and Brown quickly said "Ohh no, in the big leagues he is an outfielder" ...... so this really isn't on Whitcomb or even Brown. My guess is that Espada and the coaches risked it and it backfired.... doesn't really matter though, want to avoid winning these games most likely anyway.
Mariners are practically dead too. They need KC royals to lose out and the Tigers to lose out (play the white Sox). they also need to win out and they don’t have any tie breakers so they are actually 3.5 games back
