The earliest he would pitch is game 3 of the WC series which would be next Thursday. But Astros sweep in 2 games and he doesn't pitch until the following week
He won't pitch the first two games (7 days rest). We can all thank Whitcomb for much of this. His ERA didn't increase.... at least there's that.
This game should have been viewed as our chance to stomp out their playoff dreams. Instead we brought out the B team and for some reason have pena batting 3rd
Oh well the 10-0 dream is over. Whitcomb certainly can't be on the post season roster. He's a head case, at this point, in the field.
