Nothing in here makes me feel less creeped out about your irrational fear of being canceled because you want to ask a 18 year old girl about her gender identity. Your service is important in organizing food services to students. You probably should be having surveys of food preferences to properly cater. Important role. Still finding a reason why you'd even be in a situation asking a college aged girl about gender and sex identity. That has nothing to do with catering services.
Kamala Harris Leads by 38 Points Among Asian American Voters Against Trump According to the poll data, 66 percent of Asian American voters plan to vote for Harris, while 28 percent support Trump. The undecided and those favoring other candidates make up six percent. This November, a projected 15.0 million Asian Americans will be eligible to vote. https://www.devdiscourse.com/articl...nts-among-asian-american-voters-against-trump
If true, then that is a failure by the Trump campaign, because I would think the Asian American population should skew more conservative than that. Come to think of it, I cannot really think of Trump having courted Asian Americans very much, if ever. Found this:
Many Asian Americans are very uncomfortable with the rhetoric of Trump and the current Republican Party on immigration. Trump himself didn’t help things much when he questioned the loyalty of Mitch McConnell’s wife Elaine Chao who served in his own administration. While many Asians particularly older Asians, have conservative values that undercut by the rhetoric like “Kung Flu” and “military age Chinese males at the border”.
we have friends whose parents are old Taiwanese. they're in their 80s, highly educated (biochemists), been in this country for 50+ years, and it's still a challenge to understand their English. both voting for Trump...again.
Just as a side note, its actually amazing how far the Asian vote has shifted to the left. I remember going to visit Vietnamese families from school who still had framed photos of Reagan. The Chinese family behind my house in Houston had a similar photo of George Bush. The firm anti-communist stance of the Republican Party at the time really engendered a lot of goodwill among Asian immigrants from China and Vietnam. Same thing with Iranian immigrants (and really Middle Eastern voters as a whole) who also had a similar positive association with Reagan. Interestingly, Asian immigrants from non-Communist/authoritarian countries (including Taiwanese and Hong Kong immigrants) never had the same loyalties to the Republican Party so those communities were swing voters during the same period. However, it seems like my generation shifted leftwards in a big way during the Bush and Obama administrations. Previously swing communities (Indian-Americans, Taiwanese-Americans, Southeast Asian voters from non-communist countries) are now voting solidly Democratic while Vietnamese and Chinese voters are also Democratic leaning these days (although there has actually been some reversion in this category since Trump was elected). You see the same pattern here in Canada. I live in a community that is majority Chinese (with a sizeable minority from Hong Kong). The mainlanders generally vote Conservative while the immigrants from Hong Kong vote Liberal. The split is totally glaring in politics and even daily life.
My own family was split in the 90’s and early 2000’s and some of the family voted for the Bushes. Since then almost my whole family is voting solidly democratic. As it happens I do have some Trump supporting relatives but they aren’t Asian and are part of the family ny marriage.
LOL, imagine a couple highly educated Asian biochemists voting for a racist dumbass who doesn't believe in science and you've seen it all.
I guess this got enough runs for PolitiFact to fact-check it. PolitiFact | No, this video doesn’t show Kamala Harris using a teleprompter during a live televised forum A Winfrey spokesperson told PolitiFact that Harris didn’t use a teleprompter during the forum. Winfrey, meanwhile, did. In the silent video clip spreading on social media, the words "the fight for us … for the America we desire and deserve to live in" and "to find out more … " appear on the teleprompter. Watching footage of the end of the forum with sound, it’s clear that this script is for Winfrey.
How many times has Trump sat for interviews with friendly outlets like the Chodester and Übermensch podcast?
He certainly does. And he lies, rambles, says crazy stuff and hurts himself in everyone he does. Unlimited damaging interviews isn't an advantage over fewer interviews.
