This is assuming that Yordan's being interpreted correctly :)

He can still swing a bat. Just hit it hard and far...

Can someone do a moneyball edit over that Hayward HR? I had a good feeling that he could use Gilberts velocity to slap something in right field to get the run home, but he completely extended on that one. That’s what actual good veteran hitting looks like.

JP is with McCullers playing Russian Roulette. One of them should be here by next season.

will be interesting to see how Espada manages playing time for the remaining games given there is nothing left to play for

It’s actually in Houston’s best interest to throw today’s game because keeping Seattle alive puts pressure on the other wild card contenders.

Doesn’t sound good. Don’t see any way Houston wins a playoff series without Yordan.

For the first time in forever that feels like an actual honest relay of injury status "we think it's this, we're not positive, we'll know more in a few days. It might be bad, may not be"

Don't know why something so damn simple has been so hard for them to do. It's better than "tweaked his knee, not serious, don't think he'll need DL trip"

For a guy that habitually blows smoke up our asses, the fact he sounds worried makes me extra worried. I would absolute hate for this comeback run to end without being at full strength.

Yordan at 60-70% is better than the other options.

Heavy brace on with knees, play him only at DH, and instruct him (and Pettis) to not leg anything out.

That puts pressure on LF and CF and Bregman's elbow has to hold up at 3b every game.

Vs LHSP the OF is fine with some combination of Chas, Meyers, and Dubon with Tucker but that will be likely 1 start per series ( Yankees have 2)

Vs RHSP, Heyward and Tucker are set, but the 3rd spot will be weak offensively.

Do they add Cabbage, Hummel, or Melton to the playoff roster?
