Hard to imagine being here during the depths of the Abreu stretch much less seeing seven straight overall. Gotta savor it.
I think it's more impressive than if they had one fluke fall where they got hot for a month and won a world series. Think of all the injuries, manager/coaching changes, front office changes, hits and misses in free agency, even hurricanes, and still they've won seven division championships in seven regular seasons.
1) Dusty 2) a +20 advantage in favorable ball-strike calls in the LCS 3) +5 bloop hit advantage in the LCS 4) their entire team having career years
All managers make questionable calls in game but let’s just give Espada a bit of credit for never panicking, with all the injuries and staying focused, not playing favorites, not trying to deflect to save his ass and letting this very veteran team figure it out and get back on track. Regardless where we end up Joe was most likely the perfect manager to see this come back through.
DET’s last (3) at home vs White Sox and KC last (3) at ATL so I’d say that’s advantage DET and we might be facing KC…….
