Robinson will be a drag on Trump in NC ... not sure to what extent. Kamala's campaign senses blood in the water. Trump may be forced into spending time and money in NC, where he has neither to give.
Trump is going about this election differently - while he is almost 80, he has been good at transitioning how he reaches people as times have changed. Trump has started spending a lot of time on male dominated social media platforms - and it seems that he has stopped trying to appeal to women voters, and has doubled down on younger males in an effort to increase their turnout. The choice to tap Vance fits into that demographic as well - target males, regardless of color or creed: double down on appealing to them and get them politically interested and voting. Trump is very comfortable speaking to the media. Harris is also going about it differently - her messaging has been primarily done by women and that has so far been very effective. However, Harris also is far more careful about what she says and who she talks to. She is trying to avoid making blunders, and she is trying to stay on message and have tight control over her image. As a woman, she probably worries about double standards and society judging her more harshly. So far most of the gender based prejudices and comments made have not impacted her electorally. The tropes that she is stupid and a w**** and not decisive have not stuck - in part because she crushed Trump at the debate, but also in part because she has managed to avoid making mistakes by being careful.
Trump holding far fewer rallies than in past runs Former President Trump first defined his political brand and paved his path to the White House with big, raucous rallies — but he's hitting the trail much less frequently this time around. By the numbers: Trump held 72 rallies between June and September of 2016. He's held 24 in that period this year, with another on the calendar for Monday. Trump's campaign tells Axios he'll soon ramp up his schedule with "multiple rallies per week" in the final stretch of the campaign. He'd have to ramp up quite a bit to match the past two cycles. Trump held 69 rallies in October and early November of 2016, taking the stage as many as five times per day in the stretch run. Even with the pandemic raging in 2020, Trump controversially hit the road with 15 rallies in September and 43 over the five weeks leading up to Election Day. Trump stopped holding outdoor rallies for a few weeks after surviving a July assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, but resumed in late August. He held a rally on Saturday in North Carolina and has another scheduled for Monday in Pennsylvania. Breaking it down: People in Trump's camp give three primary reasons he's hitting the road less this time, Axios' Sophia Cai reports: He's a known quantity. The campaign feels less need to define him or his candidacy for voters this time around. Rallies are expensive. Trump's campaign managers this cycle are keeping a closer hold on the purse strings. He's older, and more inclined to spend his time at Mar-a-Lago. What they're saying: "President Trump's signature rallies remain a staple of his efforts on the campaign trail," campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told Axios, adding that Trump had also "mixed it up" with retail campaigning and other "non-rally events." Trump appears frequently on cable TV and podcasts, often from his home in Florida. Meanwhile his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, has been criss-crossing the swing states. The Harris campaign has needled Trump with suggestions the magic is gone from his rallies, with smaller crowds that dwindle as he speaks. In the statement, Leavitt claimed "his rallies during this election cycle have been bigger and better than ever before." Between the lines: It's little surprise Trump kept a lighter schedule earlier in the campaign. His calendar was complicated by court dates, and his then-opponent, President Biden, wasn't exactly lighting up the campaign trail — or the polls. Now, though, Trump is in a neck-and-neck race against a candidate who has proven no slouch at firing up her own base.
Yeah. Nascar fans see her as the worst example of DEI Hire. LOL. Some call her the worst NASCAR driver ever.
I also will not be judged for being a proud American. Let's vote for the candidate that didn't try to invalidate the votes of millions of Americans in violent attempt to overturn the election to hold on to power! based FranchiseBlade
Trump stated that America is at fault for Russia's invasion of Ukraine, arguing that it's a war that should never have occurred, and that we had the power to prevent it. If Trump were POTUS, he would invite Russia to attack any of our allies and then blame America if our allies fought back. Make Putin Great Again. @AroundTheWorld, I don't think this fits with "I love America"
He is almost 80 years old - I am not surprised he is having less rallies. His supporters are older as well - he started this almost a decade ago.
She can support whomever she wants - but you are right, she took a lot of heat from NASCAR fans claiming she wasn’t good enough to drive other than being a socially attractive woman, she was a poor driver. I don’t follow NASCAR enough to have an opinion on her as a driver.
They're crying for help in Southside Chicago because they see a huge clash incoming. The people are fed up!
LOL. he invited holocaust deniers and anti-semites to the white house and to his private home for dinner you dork.
