Knee sprain could mean foot amputation in a week.

So does this rule out any tendon tears?

Well it would take the Astros losing 7 straight to finish the season including 3 against Cleveland who will likely be resting players plus the Mariners winning 6 straight to finish the season. What are the odds that happens?

If they choked the division completely away, or went to another World Series, neither would completely surprise me.
    Weird year.

The disabled list is greater than any NFL team....unreal. NINE pitchers on the injured list....would make a formidable group.

there is still a chance for the astros to fall on their face.

I still remember last year how unlikely the outcome was.

A sprain can involve ligament tears. If they aren’t lying about the possibility of him playing before the end of the season then he doesn’t have a tear. If he had a partial tear (even a small one) I think he would be out for a month at least.

Hopefully because he’s healthy and he can get his timing back before the post season. If it’s a desperation move then things have gone bad.

LMJ pitched the 2018 playoffs with a torn UCL and pitched the 2022 playoffs/WS with a torn flexor tendon.

He can probably swing the bat with any version of a knee injury. Won’t run well with any version of a knee injury. He can have multiple Kirk Gibson moments…

It won't make any difference because the Houston Astros cannot hit a pitcher with an ERA below 4. Tonight's abysmal failure is the perfect example of that as the minor league Asstros could not touch Miller. They will not be able to touch any other Mariner starter because whoever they throw tomorrow and Wednesday is bound to have an ERA below 4. Therefore, the Asstros get swept and will be well on their way to losing the division. They are the premier choke artists.

They throw their closer against the Angels and what does he do? Choke, choke, choke by giving up 4 runs in the top of the ninth. Total choke job. Then, their best hitter after 90 years in baseball cannot slide into second without ruining his knee for life. Even if Alvarez had played, it would not have made any difference because the rest of the Asstros cannot hit any pitcher with an ERA less than 4. But, think about it, how does Alvarez not just slide into second like any other baseball player. Not him, he's got to ruin his knee for life. This team is nothing but a load of chokers and will choke out the rest of this series and then lose three in a row to the Guardians. It is likely that the Asstros won't even be a wild card team after their 7 game losing streak to end the season. This will go down as the biggest choke job in baseball history. 5 games up on the Mariners with 6 to play and they lose the division. As said, the biggest bunch of chokers in baseball history.

Biggest gd series of the year and what does Alvarez do? Slide into second and ruin his knee for life. Does anyone on this team have half a brain? Whoever heard of a guy ruining his knee on a routine slide? This team of chokers is doomed to lose 7 straight to close the season. There is no other option for this sad group of choke artists. Every single one of them.

There is not a chance. It is a dead certainty. In fact, it is highly likely that this bunch of losers will not score more than six runs the rest of the season. The loss of Alvarez will cause the rest of the chokers to totally choke out the rest of the season on a 7 game losing streak. Then, they can sit home and watch the rest of the awful American League teams have their little playoff series. The Houston Asstros, the team of futility.

The only thing they will clinch tomorrow is the third loss in a 7 game losing streak to close out the year.

This bunch of jerkoffs has no guts and no fire. They don't care if they win or lose any one of the rest of the games this year, which is one of the main reasons they will end the year on a 7 game losing streak.
