The part where he said that he would continue spreading false stories about Haitian immigrants eating people's pets was fantastic. Also the part when he started spreading them in the first place. So fantastic. He's been just great, and people obviously love him. We can just toss out the donut shop video. That was just a fluke. Everything else has been great.
Probably the same motives that past Presidential assassins had? Primarily mental illness issues. The first assassin that attempted to kill Trump was a registered Republican and considered troubled. The second assassin voted for Trump in the past and is a felon with a long list of struggles. John Hinkley shot President Reagan - because he felt it would get him Jodi Foster. Squeaky Fromme tried to kill Ford - because she was crazy. Lee Oswald had mental issues as well. The only thing that is somewhat consistent other than mental health issues is that half of them were big into guns.
He doesn't translate Trump's message for moderates/independents. I am a moderate - I have voted for a number of Republicans - had the Republicans gone away from Trump and MAGA, they likely would have had my vote in 2024 - Vance is well spoken, but he does not come across as charming or sincere, and his comments and statements are not at all appealing or moderate. Which is too bad, because almost a decade ago he was not as creepy.
What comments has he made that aren't appealing to moderates? When talking about the 3 biggest issues facing voters today, I think he has conveyed Trump's message well which is why he is doing better in swing states now than in 2020. He definitely articulated Trump's message well and is the cleanup man.

Well - off the top of my head he admitted he created the Haitian "story". His Mountain Dew being racist comments were unsavory and didn't make any sense. His statements tying the value of women to having children. Really - he doesn't address the biggest concerns Americans have - he is too busy going down Haitian rabbit holes, having odd discussions about Mountain Dew and tribalism and then bizarre discussions over the behavior of women. He cannot stay on message - which is really what Trump needs. Vance is well spoken, he knows the subjects well enough - but he lacks focus and charisma. His personal politics are also not moderate - Trump is far more moderate than Vance - who is really politically close to Peter Thiel and Father Deneen. Maybe he will make his politics mainstream, but they are not right now.
He said Democrats call everything anyone does racist. He went on to say, "I had a Diet Mountain Dew yesterday, and another today. I'm sure they're gonna call that racist, too." It wasn't about Mountain Dew, it was about the Democrats crying racism about everything.
Also to add he entered this race talking about “childless cat ladies” that alone probably contributed a few percentage points to the gender gap. That many on the Right seem to think statements like that are good is one of the reasons why Trump does so poorly with women.

Do you have actual proof that Tim Crooks was motivated by Democrats? Also I’ve stated that Ryan Routh was likely motivated over Ukraine.
They have kept many manifests from the public, so releasing one with a bounty addressed to the "world" is a questionable decision.
My understanding is that they released that as part of the bail hearing to show that he is a going threat that should be kept in jail without bail. There has been a lot debate among LE and media about releasing manifestos terrorists, would be assassins and mass shooters as doing so might lead to copycats.
