Justin Simmons is Mahomes kryptonite. Justin Simmons literally put out public feelers than he was interested in joining in Texans. Demeco instead wanted to stay loyal to his washed up buddy Jimmy Ward and responded publiclly that they were happy with their safeties and were not interested. Simmons moved on (for only 8 mil, 1 year). Real shame.

He was supposed to be the 1st tackle taken. Top 5 talent. He didn’t drop like Aaron Rodgers but he did loose money bc he was the third tackle taken. That bong hit cost him something like $10 mil on his rookie contract.

I saw a documentary on his story. Pretty shady stuff that went on with his draft. By shady I mean someone close to him purposely leaked the vid.

iirc based on the documentary the Ravens completely took him off their draft board after the bong vid and took Stanley. The Titans backed out at the last min and took another tackle.

I can't believe our entire division has a total of 3 wins after 3 weeks. At least we get to play some of the worst teams in the NFL twice this year.

Texans are stupid as hell. I really wanted Simmons. He had 23 interceptions the past 5 years and Ward had 6. They aren't even in the same ballpark.

Yeah, he was still picked 13th, 9 years ago.

Unfortunately for Simmons, he has to play against 15 other QBs

I still believe in Ryans, but he needs to have a come to Jesus moment with his team.

Very put off how the offensive line and even Demeco have responded in their interviews. OL is blaming the officials and Demeco is blaming the players. Your scheme and strategy was a joke on both sides of the ball. Amateur hour. Take some accountability yourselves.

This is easy to figure out with todays GPS tracking. See how inconsistant the calls are

If you look at their first two games, they already have.

My belief is not as high. This was the worst the team has looked since BoB today. I like Ryans and was excited about his hire but the team hasn't been prepared coming into the season. He felt Slowick was ready to be an offensive coordinator as well. I don't know. Games like today are a tough pill but maybe my disappointment is coming from the expectations on this team that they really didn't deserve.

this would be excusable if they were all rookies.

This team looked bad today but this is exaggerating. Worst since BoB? Last year this team lost to Bryce Young and Zach Wilson. The offense couldn't do anything in those games either. Now there is a very legit concern that Slowik has been figured out. The league had all offseason and had those games as well as the Ravens playoff game as blueprints on how to stop Slowik's offense. We thought Slowik would continue innovating but instead he hasn't and the league has caught up. It's going to be a struggle but CJ is just going to have to adjust back.

    Poor Stroud.

I’m sure it would help if we didn’t use TE’s to block their best pass rushers.

Yep, and he was drafted behind a 5 year injury-flameout (Ronnie Stanley) and a guy who had to move to RT (Jack Conklin).

With the expectations this team had, yes this was the worst game since BoB, total embarrassment imo. Was a sobering reality check.

He would have to be smoking in the locker room to be high during the game. It’s not weed. He’s just a bonehead.

Honestly, The Vikings don't impress me which makes this butt kicking hurt worse. This was all about the Texans. They seemed slow, with low energy from the start. As some already said, it's the Jets game all over. Give the credit to the Vikings D, at home, with a lot of ex Texans with something to prove apparently. The Texans O lost this one, starting with the offensive line and the coaching.

It doesn't help that the "ball didn't bounce our way" all game and the flags. Those alignment calls back to back to back is pretty absurd... someone needs to communicate - refs, Tunsil, coaching staff, someone! The PI call on Pitre was pretty questionable as well. Ive seen more egregious plays that don't get called every Sunday - but you win some, you lose some. Great teams find a way to play through it. It's still early. It's all about how you are playing late in the season and we have plenty of time to figure it out. "Nice" to get this out of the way now.

Btw, stop with D made so and so look like this hall of famer...
Darnold had 17 completions (60% completion rate) for 181 yards
Jones had 102 yards on the ground - 39 of that was on one play when likely the game was already over
Jefferson was held in check in the 2nd half - finished with 81 yards (well below his own standards)

This is ALL on the Texans who obviously did not show up.
It would not surprise me if the Vikings lose the next 3 (at least). All those smiles will go away real quick...
