The people who are fanaticized enough to think he would be Hitler, when he clearly wasnt Hitler the first time he was in power.
So the would-be assassins' motives were to prevent Hitler? Do you have a link showing that? Or are you relying on the ill-informed Xweets and social media claiming they fanaticized to believe that and that is why they did it?
I will wait for the facts. The Federal government might have reasons regarding their investigation about what they release or don't release. They may also have reasons that aren't valid or related to their investigations for releasing or not releasing information. What I do know is that Social media isn't shedding worthwhile light on any of it. What I beleive is that looking for and twisting to find an angle to damage to people that have different political views isn't the best way to find out what was going on with would-be assassins.
"I go back and forth between thinking Trump is a cynical a**hole like Nixon who wouldn't be that bad (and might even prove useful) or that he's America's Hitler," - JD vance (2016)
To reiterate. We don’t really know what was the motive of the first assassin but it could be someone who was mentally ill and out to assasinate an major political figure since evidence was found of him looking into Biden’s schedule. The second attempted assasination appears to be about support for Ukraine.
And once he lived through the Trump presidency, JD Vance went with "Trump is like Nixon" angle. Dems have nothing on Vance, it's pretty funny. Vance wrote a book that turned into a well-received movie. He's gonna be the future of the populist, more diverse Republican party. I see why they picked him now. He translates Trump's message for moderates/independents real well, and carves the media up but somehow makes them like him at the same time (like what Dana Bash said lol).
I've posted here when he first got onto the scene this cycle that I didn't have much faith in him but he won me over with how he handles reporters in interviews. He crafts his message very well and it is appealing to moderates. His response to the constant "but in 2016 you said Trump was hitler" questions were so good he's stopped being asked that question.
I don’t know what interviews and campaign appearances you’ve been watching but most of his appearances have been panned and even many Republicans have been saying he’s a drag on the ticket.
Vance is clearly much more intelligent and less angry, compared to Walz, who is an angry socialist who loves Hamas sympathizers.
Yeah a donut shop video is not what I'm talking about. He has done several times more interviews than Trump/Harris/walz combined this cycle, so you can find them online if you want or wait until Tuesday to be surprised. Also the donut shop video felt like a massive troll job, lowering expectations of Vance leading to this massive underestimating of him by the left right now (that haircut though lol). The only ones saying he is a drag on the ticket are democrats and neocons, which today are close to the same thing.
