This one part of his quote makes me laugh...

"I WILL PROTECT WOMEN AT A LEVEL NEVER SEEN BEFORE. THEY WILL FINALLY BE HEALTHY, HOPEFUL, SAFE, AND SECURE. THEIR LIVES WILL BE HAPPY, BEAUTIFUL, AND GREAT AGAIN!"

Sure Donald. Like any woman with even half a brain believes that crap. Everything he claims, or says he does is at a level we've never seen before.
The biggest, the smartest, the best.

The sad part is that the only thing he's done at a level we've never seen before is lie.

Former Republican Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney has said that conservatives may have to start a new party after the GOP has grown “corrupted” by former President Donald Trump.

Cheney, who has said that she and her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, will vote for Vice President and Democrat Kamala Harris in November, spoke to Peter Baker of The New York Times at the 2024 Cap Times Idea Fest on Saturday.

During the event, hosted by The Capital Times in Madison, Wisconsin, Cheney revealed that she thinks the Republican Party may have outlived its usefulness after devoting its existence to Trump.

“It’s hard for me to see how the Republican Party survives because it’s been so corrupted,” she told Baker on stage.

Cheney said that the US needs two “strong” parties, adding that the Republican Party may no longer be a welcome home for traditional conservatives.

Baker asked if the party might be able to “purge itself of Trump.”

“We need our political system to reflect the goodness of the American people,” Cheney argued. “Whether it’s organizing a new party ... it’s hard for me to see how the Republican Party, given what it has done, can make the argument convincingly or credibly, that people ought to to be voting for Republican candidates until it recognizes what it’s done.”

She added: “I think making sure that on an individual basis, we’re casting votes for serious, responsible people, that we’re encouraging people to get involved and run.”

“There is certainly going to be a big shift I think in how our politics work. I don’t know exactly what that will look like,” Cheney admitted.

“I don’t think it will just simply be, ‘Well, the Republican Party is gonna put up a new slate of candidates and off to the races,’” she said. “I think far too much has happened. It’s too damaging.”

Baker asked if a new party would be required, such as the Republicans came after the Whigs in the 1850s.

“It may well be because again, so much of the Republican Party today has allowed itself to become a tool for this really unstable man,” Cheney said.

Her comments come after more than 100 former Republican administration officials endorsed Harris in a letter stating that Trump is “unfit to serve again as President, or indeed in any office of public trust.”

I was just thinking that same thing earlier today. It's like that whole party has changed into one that is almost unrecognizable from the old conservative party. Maybe all the conservatives who actually had the courage to speak honestly about Trump, and about Jan 6th should start a new conservative party. Everyone in the GOP supporting that psycho dictator wannabe pathological lying felon is either corrupt and power hungry, crazy as him, as racist as him, stupid, complete and utter hypocrites, or a mix of each.

He appeals to the lowest gut level common denominator- he knows how to cut to the pit of your stomach and excuse acting on it.

I don’t like how he does it - and I don’t like that it is 90% of his schtick - it’s destructive, but it is also very effective at a base level.

I know some attorneys like that - people complain about them, call them POS - but they win enough.

Trump knew exactly what he did - and there will be Jewish leaders and the media that will complain. No one likes to be threatened - especially a class of people that have been treated as poorly as Jews have been… but that is exactly why he said what he did and it’s why I believe he will get more support from Jews than expected… it’s psychology.

It is also why some marginalized people like Trump - there is always another group that he labels the enemy or beneath everyone else… and it isn’t coincidence that he puts illegal immigrants (who can’t vote) at the absolute bottom.

It is disgusting - but it is a populist trick. If there were not illegal immigrants - Trump would find another small voting group to blame and it doesn’t matter if he likes them or not - I could see him going after intellectuals or even the ultra rich … whatever or whoever gives him more control and power through manipulation.

The reason why Trump will get more support from Jews is because he has proven to be Israel's friend, while Kamala has surrounded herself with some of the most evil antisemites as her "advisors" - shills for the Mullahs in Iran.

I was talking about how he chose to address the topic and address Jewish voters.

I know a number of Jews that don’t really care about Israel… but I also know many that do.

Personally I am tired of Israel’s interests being so dear to the USA. The leader of Israel doesn’t even speak for the majority of Israeli’s.

Benjamin Netanyahu should be in a prison cell.

Netanyahu is the elected leader of a country that has genocidal neighbors trying to murder its entire population. He is leading their existential fight for self-defense.

Stop ignoring the fact that even before October 7, Israel was constantly being terrorized and attacked. Iran and its proxy armies have been building up towards genocide.

Some people apparently would prefer that Israel should have a leader that doesn't fight back.

That is what has already happened.

    Nasrina Bargzie
    Philip Gordon
    Ariane Tabatabai

    and more

    All of them hate Israel.

At least one of them appears to be directly connected to the Mullahs in Iran.

Why does she surround herself with people like that?

The staggering reach of Trump’s misinformation — not just on Haitian migrants

From Day One of his presidency to this day, Donald Trump has promoted an alternate reality that has caught on with a shocking proportion of his base. But we don’t often get good polling that shows just how much Trump’s misinformation has penetrated the country.

The new data comes from YouGov, which has occasionally tested Trump’s false claims. After last week’s debate, YouGov asked voters about a battery of them.

The major findings on what Trump supporters believe:

    • A majority (52 percent) of Trump supporters say they believe the claim about Haitian migrants “abducting and eating pet dogs and cats.” Excluding those who are “not sure,” twice as many say it’s at least “probably true” as say it’s at least “probably false.” (There remains no real evidence for this claim. Officials have debunked it and linked it to threats, and Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Sunday called it “a piece of garbage that was simply not true.”)
    • 43 percent of Trump supporters say they believe that “in some states it is legal to kill a baby after birth” — another claim Trump referenced at last week’s debate. In fact, slightly more said they believed this was true than disbelieved it. (It is false.)
    • 28 percent of Trump supporters say they believe that “public schools are providing students with sex-change operations,” something Trump has recently suggested is happening but for which there is no evidence.
    • 81 percent of Trump supporters say they believe Venezuela is “deliberately sending people from prisons and mental institutions” to the United States. (There is no evidence that Venezuela or any other country is doing this, and Trump has used bad data to support his claim.)
The claims about Haitian migrants, post-birth executions and sex changes at school are actually some of the least pervasive. But the other claims that Trump supporters believe are more about statistics than ridiculous assertions.

For example, 77 percent say they believe the United States has given more aid to Ukraine than all of Europe combined (false), 70 percent say they believe millions of undocumented immigrants are arriving every month (false), and 70 percent say they believe inflation is at its highest rate ever (not true today or at any point in recent years).

Americans of all political stripes have a long history of getting such data points wrong and exaggerating perceived problems, especially on the economy. So what’s really striking about the new numbers is how much Trump’s conspiracy theories have caught on.

The numbers on those counts aren’t terribly surprising in context, given the many false things Trump supporters have convinced themselves of in recent years. For example, most Republicans have told pollsters that Trump didn’t try to overturn the 2020 election, that Trump didn’t have classified documents at Mar-a-Lago and that Trump’s offices were wiretapped during the 2016 election. And of course there is the 2020 stolen-election claim that as many as two-thirds of Republicans have believed.

But these things have also generally only caught on to an extent, and that’s a key point with the new data.

For instance, independents disbelieve the Haitian migrants claim more than 2-to-1, and five times as many say it’s “definitely false” (35 percent) as say it’s “definitely true” (7 percent).

The gaps are even wider on executing babies and sex changes in schools. More than 6 in 10 independents dispute both, and relatively few independents — less than one-quarter — embrace them. Many independents are actually reliable voters for one side or another, and the data suggest these are probably Republican-leaning ones.

All of which indicates that Trump is largely preaching to a credulous choir here, while the potentially decisive voters generally see his conspiracy theories for what they are.

Last night Trump did his usual ranting on his website. Let's talk about this quote from one of his crazy posts. "Comrade Kamala Harris is mentally unfit to be President. She knows it, and so does everyone else!"

It's his common tactic Trump uses often to deflect from the truth.

Far too many people say Trump is showing signs of cognitive decline and possible dementia. He's frequently confusing names and places and struggling at times to pronounce words. The latest was when he repeatedly confused the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska with Afghanistan’s Bagram air base when talking about drilling.

More than 100 Republican former national security and foreign policy officials have endorsed Kamala Harris for president in a joint letter, calling Donald Trump “unfit to serve” another term in the White House. America’s Top Generals have called Trump “Dangerous” and “Unfit” to Be Commander-in-Chief.

Many psychiatrists and psychologists have said Trump's mental state presents a clear and present danger to our nation and individual well-being.

His own colleagues, sister, and former associates have called him a pathological liar and psychopath.

Trump is a convicted felon facing criminal charges alleging mishandling of sensitive documents and conspiracy to obstruct the government in retrieving these documents, participating in a scheme to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power after he lost the 2020 election, and coordinating an effort to thwart proper certification of Georgia's 2020 presidential election.

I agree with everyone in saying Trump is unfit to serve. The reasons run so deep it's scary that he's even allowed to run for office to begin with, and is the GOP's choice for President. What has happened to the old conservative party?

I highly doubt Trump will get most of the Jewish votes. He only got about a quarter of the vote last time and probably will get that same
    Amount this election.

Israel leveled all of Gaza to the stone age. They know a lot about genociding their neighbors apparently.

the fact that only 52% of MAGAts believe the Haitian hoax and 43% believe in “abortion after birth” just goes to show how incredibly stupid it is to push that nonsense

MAGA is a definitive minority in this country, and if barely half of the mindless drones believe something their dear leader said, then u can guarantee the rest of the sane people who outnumber MAGA and will decide this election definitely think it’s bullsh*t

he’s pushing things that barely half of his cult thinks is true, and views that as winning strategy…lmao

Trump and MAGA have this view that they actually are the majority. This is why they generally double down on rhetoric and claims than change or back off things like Haitians are eating dogs. It’s also why they believe that the only way they lose is that the other side is cheating.

LOL. the guy who had anti-semites and holocaust deniers at his house for dinner, said neo-nazis are "very fine people" and called a guy who calls himself a black nazi "martin luther king on steroids" is the "pro-jewish" candidate.
