    I know it's a split second decision but our pitchers need to let those get past them so our defense can make the play. They end up screwing up everything more often than not.

    It is a fast moving baseball. Instinct is to catch it. Don't have much time to decide is this going to hit me or go through to SS or 2B. I'll take giving up a baserunner here or there versus getting a pitcher hurt because he didn't stop a ball that hit him.
