For me personally I liked the Indiana Jones trilogy more but I agree with the other posters that Star Wars had far more cultural impact so over all would put it higher. I liked Back to the Future I but wasn’t particularly impressed but the sequels

The way the series transformed in tone was amazing. Evil Dead 1 had definite hints, but by Army of Darkness, it was complete.

    SW
    BTTF
    IJ

Back to the Future 3 was admittedly the weakest of all 9 movies, but I never got the appeal of the Jones movies.

For a book trilogy, it is:

    The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
    The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes
    The Return of Sherlock Holmes

    1. IJ - it just resonated my early childhood so much - absolutely loved the first IJ movies! and if you asked me then I'd prolly put SW there but I think IJ had more real life connections that I put IJ - slightly ahead

    2. SW - amazing and consequential original trilogy

    3. BTTF- amazing as well One of them has to be in third place however
