It is extremely easy for a felon to buy a firearm. In Texas for example person to person sales are legal. I don't have to ask ANY questions to sell to someone. It is against the law to KNOWINGLY sell to a felon. However, there is nothing in the law which says you have a duty to ask.
Maybe if Trump was a decent human being people would care more. He deserves as much compassion as he showed others. Mocking Pelosi's husband after he was attacked with a hammer. One day after the Iowa school shooting, telling people to "Get over it." Not to mention, a serial rapist/sexual assaulter who cheated on every one of his wives and is now cheating on Melania with Jigsaw. A truly piece of ****, selfish human being. Seems like what happened to him and the reaction he's receiving is what many of us call "karma."
I’m not surprised and I’m guessing it might be the same with several other states. This is another part of the problem that we cant even enforce the laws currently in the books as may states have other laws undercutting laws that felons or the mentally ill Shouldn’t have firearms.
Compassion shouldn’t be something that is earned and karma would be that if you can show compassion to your worst enemy your karma would be better. If Trump was killed while that doesn’t change that I think he was a terrible president and a con man but don’t think he deserves death. I would also recognize it would be a tragedy to his family. Leaving aside compassion or sympathy for his family I think it would be a very bad thing for this country and nothing good would come out of it. It most likely would lead to calls for revenge from his supporters with counter attacks. It would be fuel conspiracies and even greater distrust of government. It would make him a martyr and drive the MAGA movement for a generation.
I like you - but you don’t really live in reality sometimes. Trump isn’t really popular. He has never won the popular vote… he lost as an incumbent to an old man… and now he is locked in a dog fight against someone you all claim slept her way to the top and is a socialist. Trump is a survivor - and he has a loyal group of core supporters but he isn’t popular. Also, there is no explaining away by Vance, calling Trump America’s Hitler, or a threat to democracy, an idiot etc. He said it because he believed it until it was no longer politically beneficial for him. Trump is unfortunately surrounded by a bunch of grifters. I respect that Trump is a fighter. He didn’t give up and never does - he will go down swinging and that CAN be admirable. I haven’t heard Trump say having his supporters/former supporters take shots at him has made him fearful to run though. We will see what happens in 60 days. The outcome will be extreme. Trump wins and he is the modern Andrew Jackson- he loses and he will be remembered as a pariah and a loser who ran three times and lost twice and as a corrupt McCarthy figure that represented the worst in people.
I don't wish death upon him. I believe karma is him losing this election soundedly, him seeing his world crumble around him as people turn away from him one by one as he's no longer seen as useful (including Melania filing for divorce), and serving a few years of his life in prison for the crimes he committed against the country.
Did they release Vance’s comments calling Trump “America’s Hitler” or “unfit for the highest office”. Another example of the JD Vance VP selection being less than ideal for Trump. Hard to have people take you serious when it comes to rhetoric when Trump is the king of rhetoric and VP candidate has said what he has said.
While Trump has similarities with Andrew Jackson Jackson wasn’t the grifter that Trump is. Besides the divisiveness of Trump he is also a petty sales man trying to peddle things like NFTs and gold colored sneakers. Something that I don’t think a reincarnated Andrew Jackson would do.
There are weapons literally everywhere in the USA based on the gun culture and the ease it takes to accumulate them. I am not surprised at all that he was able to get the weapon he got. Anyone that wants one can get one without a lot of effort.
Or for that matter Lindsey Graham saying Trump is a kook and a racist who will destroy the Republican Party? Marco Rubio calling him a con artist? Or any of the other of his now sycophants who have harshly criticized him in the past.
He is a pretty well connected person including with the fringe groups. Finding someone to give him a soviet weapon with little background history on the weapon is very doable. Keep in mind all weapons manufactured/distributed in the US almost always have some sort of initial background history.
No, I know he called for elimination (because I watched the video). The point is that when confronted with the video, people pretended like Dan Goldman was some random person no one had ever heard of before, instead of a sitting Congressman.
Yes we know that. How many trucks do you see parked in lots selling guns? Never, because at that point, they are acting as a distributor which is illegal and not considered a private sale. It's not hard to get a gun but it's not like walking into the local convenience store either.
Most people don't know their own Congressperson. You really think people will know some random Congressman from New York? Hell people don't even listen to the crazy **** Trump says. They listen to curated clips from their favorite news source.
Look if JD Vance can post fake stuff, stuff he admitted is fake, stuff that is causing bomb threats, @krnxsnoopy can post an assumption about Melania leaving Donald.
