I don't know the whole story, but I think these are not "illegals," but migrants who have legally received asylum. I doubt the X-poster cares about the difference, though. I wonder if the reason there is no proposal to build a wall along the Canadian border has anything to do with the number of illegal entries, as opposed to the skin color of people living on the other side of the border. Is that possible?
There have been a lot of cases illegal crossings across the northern border. A few Years ago an Indian family died when they tried to cross the border in Northern, MN. There are still more crossings from the Southern border but that doesn’t mean the norther border hasn’t been seeing an increase. The northern border is much longer than the southern border and not only is it a land border but has many water crossings with parts of US territory physically separated from the rest of the US by water. It would be physically impossible to build a wall across the Northern border. On the same note while not physically impossible it is practically unfeasible to build a wall along the whole southern border. Given thst part of the border is also water in the Rio Grande a border wall can’t be built at the border for both practical and treaty reasons but has to be built on land on the US shore. Already wall built there has collapsed due to poor soil conditions.
