I wonder how much Nick Wright is gonna fellate Caely Williams tomorrow. He loves making excuses for him.
Stroud career average per game: 21.4 / 33.2 attempts - 64.6% - 271.4 yards Today: 23 / 36 - 63.9% - 260 yards Somehow its still about a typical 90+ rating CJ game The difference so far is, outside of Nico, none of the last year Tank / Noah Brown style downfield big plays. (Where is Tank, anyway). Schultz hasnt capitalized off attention to the WR's. Diggs is quietly productive in catches & TD's, but is like a possession WR. If this is the floor, thats still encouraging for how naturally good CJ & the team is. Almost every other younger QB has struggled, made more mistakes, or only "flashed" potential doing a lot less. But have to be better than this for the elite teams.
Right. That would put CJ right as his career avg in yards/completion. I'm not really big on that stat honestly, cuz today's NFL is way more about shorter passes than the long passing old NFL. This is just about CJ's production relative to rest of the league. And whats making offense look more regular compared to expectations.
If Akers doesnt fumble, possibly another short TD pass added. They can run it in 15 of 15 times, its not about whats only good for CJ. Just that as important as the QB is, need all team compenents in sync as well. Like they dont need CJ trying to pass out of 55 knockdowns like Caleb is. Context matters
And to think if Tank hadn't had that drop, or Akers hadn't fumbled, the offense still would've put up 30.
Well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well well....
