That's why I said I haven't seen continuation. I'm not comparing to last seasons start. We should be comparing to where we were when it finished. We've gone backwards. Better defensively but offense isn't scary anymore.
If the league is serious about these new rules, they will both be fined/punished.. history would tell one the league generally doesn’t follow the new rules after a few games into the season
Small brain talk. There’s a lot more moving targets, processing, egos, etc to deal with on offense now. It will take some time to click.
Nico Collins is the toughest receiver we've had since Andre Johnson, and I've been waiting for someone like him for a long time. I'm stoked!
It was a pretty exciting game for a defensive bout. Slowik did what Coleridge said multiple times we couldn't do. "We can't let them dictate pace." But I don't think it was Slow's fault. Our punter had three terrible punts, we held them on 2 of those shanks but when they punted back they flipped field position. If Akers doesn't fumble, the final score is the same as the Chiefs game. For those wanting more passing yards for Coleridge, Tank usually catches that ball and zooms to the TD for 45 yards. That's 300 yards 2 TDs. Oh well. VIkings Defense will almost be as tough with 3 Texans that know what you like for Breakfast and which prayer you say when you're sad. Positives: Lassiter with his 2 ints, one called back. By the way they were holding our edge guys they should have let the defensive holding from the other side of the field slide. He was labeled an almost guy. So close to the int but can never get it. The Defensive front. Negatives: Howard and Patterson. Just when CJ closed it out the knucklehead commits another penalty. Patterson put in a rough spot. Not even including Tunsil's false starts. That's a way of life now.
Blatant refball on the roughing the passer call allowed CHI to cover the spread with a FG, I suspect one day it will come out that these giant bookmaking firms are deciding the final score more than the actual talent, but nobody will care because gambling is a great way to keep a population distracted and impoverished.
Mixon was hurt and I don’t think our strategy was to run the ball down their throats. The Bears can blitz, stop the run, and cover very well. All I know is Stroud took care of himself and the ball in this defensive struggle. Meanwhile Williams couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn and had the turf raked with his ass all night
Too many damned penalties - but DAMN our defense is GREAT ! CJ has had 3 INTs this year turned around...or barely missed.....some of that is pretty lucky. DD
