This was one of the games they forced the run game before we had the tools to do so. Indy showed this problem has been fixed. Now we get to see why that was worth giving away some games. Plus the history of these styles of offense and defense are for a big step up in the second year.
Key to this game will be stopping there run game! Despite all the screens and short passes that Caleb threw in his first game. His average time to throw was a whopping 4.2 seconds. Will Anderson average time to the QB last week against a better line was 3.2. I’m expecting a big game.
I definitely want to see Hunter and Anderson have a sack attack! I'd also love to see CJ throw more long passes down the field. They shook off the rust, and tonight let's take it up a notch or two and show them what we've got. Go Texans!
The Colts went in to the game wanting to hold our WR’s down. They purposely challenged Stroud to see how patient he would be against their soft coverage. CJ was pretty flawless. All of that allowed Joe Mixon to get going as the safeties were so far back and had to meet Joe late.
CJ was good, but certainly not flawless. He can play better. I've seen him throw more accurate passes plenty of times.
this is a weird feeling where practically all the nfl fans are on the texans' wagon. perhaps with the exception of cowboys fans. even when the rockets were at their peak, they were still hated. astros' love lasted 2.5 years because of the scandal. once the texans continue to be good, they're definitely going to be hated on.
Looking at this Colts/Packers game wondering how the Texans only won by 2. NFL can be unpredictable. Colts don't look that good though.
You should have seen the All-22 on balls thrown further than 5 yards last week. Half the balls he throws are TO worthy. What he did against the Texans is an anomaly….He isn’t good enough to win games consistently. His issue isn’t physical talent. That is there in spades, but his issue is that his vision is the absolute opposite of Strouds.
