He had every opportunity to do so, and he wanted nothing to do with it. He and his family have a plan, and it is a lot smarter than yours.
Yeah, Ewers was the leading Heisman candidate before today's game and lead last years team within a play of playing in the NC game, but Arch has a good 2 quarters against a UTSA defense that gave up 49 points against Texas St last week. Anybody hear how bad Banks is hurt?
I don't think any of us are haters. He's going to be awesome next year and beyond. But Ewers is also great and will start once he's healthy. Arch lit up UTSA; Ewers has won on the road in Ann Arbor and Tuscaloosa. Arch didn't look past his first read last night; Quinn now has the ability and experience to execute a complex offense against top-tier defenses. I don't think you're wrong about Arch's ability and we're all excited for the future. But, the expectations this season are conference and national championships. Ewers has been trained for this moment and it wouldn't be fair to Arch to put that pressure on him.
Exactly, and I don't get the if you like Ewers you must hate Manning rhetoric. It's the furthest from the truth.
I would prefer Ewers against Georgia. We need a guy that can eat up clock against someone as strong as Georgia.
